Einstein Bros Bagels in Lawrenceville, Georgia

Growing up in New York gives you access to 3 F's: Fashion, Fun and Food. I believe I was 15 years old and working as an intern for JPMorgan on Wall Street when I had the privilege tasting a bagel for the first time. I remember thinking, "what's the big deal"? but everyone in the office had a bagel, cream cheese and a cup of Joe every morning, so I had to find out for myself what all the fuss was about. As soon as I tasted my plain toasted bagel, I got it! It was fresh and still hot and it was oh so good. I was hooked instantly. Don't get me wrong, I didn't have to go into rehab, but my bagel and cup of Joe did always make my mornings a whole lot brighter. The best bagels were the ones from your local spots, typically owned by independents. Although you had places like Dunkin Donuts, the mom and pop establishments always had the best and freshest bagels.

I hadn't really indulged in bagels since my family moved from New York to Virginia. It wasn't for lack of desire, it's that I just never found any that were as good as what I was use to having. I believe it was 2001 when I moved to Atlanta, Georgia that came upon an establishment called Einstein Bros Bagel that I really enjoyed what I call an "ole fashion bagel". I thought to myself, yes, that's the real deal!

Although Einstein's offers more than just bagels, bagels are still their main business and they do it very well. You can get everything from a spinach bagel to the traditional plain bagel with an array of cream cheese choices. I recently came across an Einstein Bros Bagel right in my own backyard! It was a pleasant surprise. Einstein now has a location at the corner of Highway 120 and Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Einstein is even helping consumers save money in this challenging economy by offering various specials. Their latest promotion is the new twisted bagel combo that includes a wonderful twisted bagel of your choice, cream cheese and a cup of coffee for only $3.99. That's right, for less than four bucks you can fill your stomach with a wonderful bagel and wash it down with nice "hot" coffee to warm you up.

One of my favorites at Einstein's has to be their open faced tuna melt and their blackberry lemonade. I tell you, for less than $8.00, you can taste a little piece of heaven. I typically order my tuna melt on an Asiago Cheese Bagel and it is so good! If you are looking for a good start to your morning you can always indulge in one of their breakfast sandwiches which gives you a choice of any bagel or bread you'd like as well as egg whites and veggies to help keep the waist line small.
