Ekoostik Hookah?
Band members will explain that the name is based on dictionary phonetic spellings. "Acoustic" = "Ekoostik." But "Hookah?" It seems that we will have to figure out that one for ourselves.
They're a 17-year-old country rock jam band from Columbus, Ohio. For an idea of their sound, consider that they have opened for Willie Nelson and Arlo Guthrie.
The show begins at 8 p.m. on Satuday, Dec. 18 at Ferndale's Magic Bag, 22920 Woodward Ave. Tickets are $15.
