The service has always been wonderful. I have been in there when it has been packed or when there are only a few tables full. But each time the quality of the service has been wonderful. They always ask to fill your drink. They bring out the kids drink in to go cups. When we order they are fast with bringing it back to the table. When we have gone there on occasion to get a to go order their service is just the same great service.
The food is wonderful. On the front of their menu they have about building a quality product, you need to start with quality ingredients. I have to agree that they do have a quality product. We have ordered from chicken fingers on the kids menu to Texas Fajitas on the dinner menu. We haven't once gotten anything that we did not enjoy. My daughter is eleven and says that they have the best fries around.
At lunch time during the week and on Sunday lunch they serve a buffet. Buffet is not often associated with a Mexican restaurant, but after eating here I think that it should be. There was a wide variety. It was more than just taco fixings and enchiladas. On their buffet they had the traditional taco bar with wonderful Pico de Gallo. Moving further down the buffet you find shredded chicken, taquitos, enchiladas, fajitas and other dishes that I am not sure what exactly they were but were wonderful. There was even dessert on the buffet to include sopapilla, banana chimichanga and churros.
And last but certainly not the very least is their prices. Having four children this is an important matter for me. This is a restaurant that I can take my kids to and not go broke. Their prices are very reasonable, even a deal, when you see how much food you get. Their plates are always over flowing and feeding two teen age boys this is important.
My over all impression of El Cazador is that if you like Mexican food you should try it. I recommend the Texas Fajitas if you happen to stop by when the buffet is closed. This is a favorite, but be prepared to eat a lot or to be taking some home for later. I would though recommend stopping by during lunch time and having the buffet. You can try lots of wonderful food and still go home with a full stomach and a bit of change in your pocket.
You can find El Cazador "The Hunter", at 809 Willowbrook Dr, Unit 114, Hinesville, Georgia 31313. Their phone number is (912) 368-4144. If you are going towards Fort Stewart it is on the street behind Ranger Joes off of Frank Cochran Drive.
Enjoy!
