Election 2008 - it Isn't About Four Years
The Second American Revolution and Coming American Renaissance
The 2008 Presidential Election for the United States of America is pivotal in Our history and destined to determine Our survival, as a Nation, as a People. Election 2008 is not about four years.
Anyone who believes that is not just starry-eyed, they are infected with a dangerous naïveté. Worse, indeed terminal, they are unwilling collaborators in, and duped co-conspirators for, the assured destruction of this United States of America, our Nation.
By nearly every examination of Presidential greatness, the United States of America has been absent consistent world-class Presidential leadership since nearly mid-20th century. Not since Presidents Harry Truman and Dwight Eisenhower has this Nation had Presidential leadership of the caliber, substance, tenacity, and competence essential to lead the United States of America, as a People, as a Nation.
This startling (perhaps to some) assessment and realization is not about Republicans v. Democrats. This is not about the tragically decapitated Presidency of John F. Kennedy. This is not about the Great Communicator's inheritance of a situation conducive to his style and the already collapsing Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
For the last half of the 20th Century, we have had the luxury of seemingly being able to excel and prosper in spite of a leaderless Ship of State. No more.
America, as a Nation, as a People, is entrapped, entangled, and embroiled in a hodgepodge of challenges, problems, and threats. Union, justice, domestic tranquility, defense, general welfare, and liberty all are being called into question as this Nation plods along, into the 3rd Millennium.
Stark, broad-daylight questions of globalization, immigration, terrorism, nuclear proliferation, global warming and environmental collapse, federal deficit, trade imbalances, public education, college education, employment, tax codes and systems, economic disparity, poverty, aging population, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, health care, prescription drugs, housing, banking, insurance, et al. escalate in complexity and urgency.
Shadow questions of drugs, alcohol, abuse, violence, family, values, beliefs, ad nauseam escalate and spread. And increasingly, they are coming out of the shadows...
Some say the future isn't what it used to be. Some say they are helpless to change anything. Some say it's all about about systems and just let the systems balance out. Some say things will get better all by themselves.
I say it is imperative we reclaim our future and make it as we would have it.
Although the Second American Revolution will be engaged through you, your business, your family, and your community, The Second American Revolutionmust be lead by a President imbued with world-class leadership vision, attributes, and skills essential for this Nation's 21st Century successes, indeed, survival.
And that Second American Revolution will not be completed or won in four years.
The 2008 Presidential Election for the United States of America is the beginning. Given the scope, complexity, and magnitude of the threats confronting our Nation, it may well take two decades to solve Our problems, terminate Our enemies, and reclaim Our greatness. During that American Renaissance, we must have consistent world-class Presidential leadership.
We the People have the privilege, the honor, the freedom to select and elect Our world-class President of 2008. Moreover, We the People, must seize our opportunity, accept our responsibility, and meet our obligation to select and elect Our world-class President to begin the Second American Revolution.
Through the subsequent selection and election of that President's heir apparent, the Second American Revolution will be continued and won. And with that winning, the Third Millennium American Renaissance can and will prosper and prevail.
Election 2008 is not for a space in time of four years. Election 2008 is for the survival of Our Nation, in the history of all Time.

Post a CommentGreat article! I couldn't agree with you more on this.
I like how you categorized stark questions followed by shadow questions that would need to be addressed by a great President. You have written quite a powerful piece here, and it was enjoyable to read.
jc, thank you for reflecting further on the importance of Election 2008. The economic issue(s) involving China are multiple and complex. Too, the economic issues are intertwined with military, environmental, and sociological issues. The simple answer will be found in returning to an America First set of laws, policies, and enforcement practices. Too, the answer will be found in realizing that 'a butterfly flapping its wings in Brazil (or China) will only affect the "weather" in Texas' if We, the People, allow it to be so. (See "21st Century Globalization - One System With One Destiny" at http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/371886/21st_century_globalization_one_system.html .) Vote and be American, Michael
Michael- I came back here because I have been reading article on an issue that I think will affect ANY President we elect and would love your perspective on that: specifically, how do you feel about how much our economy seems to be propped up by China, even subsidized by them? I have been looking at whatever facts I could reseach (and please keep in mind I am not an economic expert) but it does seem that if China withdrew economic support from us that it could cause a deep recession or even a Depression here. Perhaps I am misguided about this and would like input. These are the kinds of economic challenges ANY President will face, as our country faces some real economic challenges already.
A very inspiring and well written piece of work.
Excellent piece and right on! I feel the same about this election year will determine our fate...no matter who gets in will have a full plate and that is an understatement.
Brilliantly said. I really feel the overall fear and helplessness felt by the American people. It seems to be coming out in a very different way this time around. Your inspiring words can steer thoughts into motion, let's pray the right change is on it's way.
Quite evocative and interesting. Few mention Truman anymore... and Eisenhower, too, but I remember far less history about him. I know Reagan did some great things but their seems to be an amnesia of the not so great, so I tire of the frequent references to him in the media etc. that elevates him to a stature that I think is a bit inflated. Good work!
Christi: IF you're referring to "Presidental Election 2008: Boredom Sets In | Rudy Giuliana and John Edwards, Goodbye!," YES. You may recall my comment: "I can't consider the future of America boring, Christi. What we have is a potential national tragedy masked as a highly-choreographed comedy. Your assessment that the President elected in 2008 probably will be the President of 2012 is true. Equally critical to our future is the likelihood, and arguably, the operational imperative, that the 2008 VP will/should/must continue in 2012 and be the President of 2016 and 2020. If you want high theatre and entertainment, watch the lame questioning of Wolf Blitzer on CNN and the glamor princesses on Fox News (smile). Vote American, Michael" Now that's two - we need to find another 170 or so million...
