Election 2008 'Pre'Mortem (An Essay)

After coming down to the wire in this now two year quest for the presidency, it might be time to stop and access a 'premortem' prediction for Election 2008. The Corporate Globalists won, the American people lost yet again.

In all the hoopla and ballyhoo of this election and need for 'change,' throughout the campaign election season Americans, through the mainstream media reporting, actually saw no real change at all, just more of the Corporate Globalists agenda, no matter which side of the aisle they claimed to be from. Nor other than the trivia the media continue to spout, or ratings grabbers on the candidates positions on global warming, the War in Iraq, the shrinking dollar, the mortgage crisis, the housing bust, the porous borders, the in-sourcing and out-sourcing of jobs, was it really possible to tell one candidate from another. And the one thing missing from all the coverage and reporting? How true would each of these candidates remain to the globalist socialist agendas promoted by the U.N. or to our founders vision and true form of government, the U.S. Constitution and most of it's desecrated provisions under the former administration, and many, many preceeding it.

Whether the eventual winner and new crowned 'chief' is McCain or Obama (as seems at this point fairly certain), the only difference between to the two is which corporate agenda the new Commander in Chief will promote - 'big business' corporate socialism, or 'big government' corporate socialism, or his own 'corporate socialism' as beholding to the corporate backers who eventually placed him in office.

President McCain seeks the global oil kingdom and possibly 100 year presence in Iraq. It is unclear why President McCain believes the procurement of a stable government in Iraq in order to protect our interests there(?), and securing Israel's borders, were or are more important than securing our own, or the lives and property that are being lost each and every day with his open borders 'free trade' beliefs, which have stripped his fellow countrymen in Arizona of their lives and property in far greater number than even the casualties to date in Iraq. His betrayal of them should have been a clue. Instead the mainstream media was suspiciously silent on just how 'unAmerican' Mr. McCain with his open borders, 100 year wars truly was, or just whose borders should take priority, or the subtleties of the terrorism in the Mexican invasion and border hoppers being equal to the 'threat' of a small army of disenfranchised Middle Easterners 6,000 miles away, with no 'weapons of mass destruction.' Their hatred for the Russians, Chinese or anyone else that set foot on their sacred soil would be just as great as their now hatred for us, if the 'religious' reason is truly the cause. I ask you, then why did they not bomb the Vatican, instead of the twin towers, for those that argue the religious foundation for this war - and, if not, just why would they 'hate' our freedom, when truth be told, American citizens, especially now post 9/11, have very little fundamental Bill of Rights freedoms to begin with, as clearly intended by the founders, over either their person or their property. We've even got 'sobriety' and 'insurance' checkpoints, for goodness sake - what next, 'I.D.' and environmental checkpoints? The true definition of a police state is emerging more and more each and every year, and President McCain's home state, Arizona, and Sheriff Joe's DUI and illegal immigrant possees seem to be leading the way. Would appear President McCain's beliefs lean more toward the 'ends justifies the means' lawmaking ala Bush, than a return to a Constitutional form of government once again.

As far as President Obama, 'change' was the keyword, however, when his own pastor called it right on the possible reasons for the continued strife in Iraq, as actually substantiated in the 9/11 report itself, President Obama distanced himself from this observation, becoming just another politician and no true 'change' after all. President Obama was quoted as also believing the solution to Iraq and the Middle East conflict is in providing schools and education for them. If President McCain's 100 year war does not result in Iraq eventually becoming the 51st state, President Obama's 'western' educational plans for the Iraqi children just might. Neither one 'gets it,' these militant muslims and al Qaeda members want us out of there because IT IS THEIR COUNTRY AND THEIR LAND, and it is our continued presence there with our western ideas of how they should run their country that somewhat created this enemy to begin with. And both wish to further such an agenda, by hook or by crook, either by force or by acadaemia.

How can a country so clueless and disrespectful of the property rights of it's own citizens (such as the Kelo decision) not understand, maybe, these 'militant' muslims resentment of lack of respect of their sacred soil for now well on 30-40 years?

America and Americans had the chance for a change, but appears missed the boat again and America is traveling down a path to oblivion and globalism, and Election 2008 may have been the defining moment when the coffin lid was placed on the America of the founders - or maybe this Year of No Change just might be the birth of a new generation of Benjamin Franklins, James Madisons, Thomas Jeffersons, John Adams and my personal hero, Patrick Henrys.

"Is life so dear or peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, almighty God. I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!"

And the true Americans put our country, and it's liberty and security, before all others......not Iraq, not Israel.

Corporate globalists be on guard - true change may be a-coming, when Americans take back America for Americans and not the globalists, once again.

And the internet and average Americans become the real government watchdogs and press, as MSNBC, Fox and CNN continue to watch their ratings decline.
