Election and Voting Coloring Pages and Activities for Kids

Crutnacker
I am a political junkie. For every debate this past year I've had my feet propped up and a bowl full of popcorn to cheer on my candidate and boo the opposition.

Unfortunately, political interest seems to have waned in the past couple of decades. A common theme is "I don't vote because it doesn't matter" or worse, "I don't vote because they're all crooks." While it is certainly everyone's right NOT to vote, it is my belief that if you don't vote, you don't have a right to voice your complaints about the Government. If enough people turned out and voted, perhaps we wouldn't have a President and a Congress with such a low approval rating.

My love for all things political started when I was 9 and we organized campaigns for Reagan and Carter. I can't remember who I was for (my guess is Carter), but I remember the excitement of bringing in campaign signs and organizing our own mock election.

To help foster a love for the right to vote in this country, why not get your children or students interested early by printing out these coloring pages devoted to elections, voting, and presidents. Who knows, maybe your son or daughter will grow up to be the next President of the United States.
