I recently had the pleasure of ordering mineral eye shadow from ElectricCosmetics.com. I will be honest. Earlier incarnations of their website were so poor that I was almost afraid to order. I contacted the owner directly and addressed my concerns about the eyeshadow's ingredients and production methods. The owner was prompt, courtesy, and informative. For someone as young as herself (the company owner is only 19) she showed an amazing degree of customer service skill which gave me the confidence to make a purchase through her.
Her mineral eye shadow is an excellent value. It normally retails for around four dollars, but she regularly runs specials that take the price down to little more than a dollar per eyeshade (compared to six dollars for drugstore versions of lesser quality.) I ordered a large sampling of her expansive color palette (twenty shades in total) and was impressed not only by the quality of the product but by the packaging as well.
The biggest benefit of her product line, aside from its modest price, is the HUGE selection of colors. Many of the shades she offers are not available in drugstore products and are only found in high end cosmetics. For those with and adventurous makeup palette this is a big plus. Aside from the color selection her product out performs standard drugstore mineral makeup and is nearly on par with nationally recognized brands in mineral makeup at about one eighth the price. There is an additional comfort in knowing that the cosmetics are created by hand in sterile conditions and that custom created eyeshades are not only available but welcomed.
The only draw back to ordering through Electric Cosmetics is the slow turn around. Because they are custom cosmetics created by a small workforce there are times that they have trouble keeping up with the work load. It took quite a while for my order to get to me, but it was worth the wait. I am confident this will improve as Electric Cosmetics grows and will certainly order again.

Great to know that there are other mineral cosmetic alternatives out there that are less expensive.
She makes great stuff. I really dig her "mermaids night out"
I completely agree with you.
The colors, packaging, and quality are amazing.
I think she's got what it takes to really get into the industry.
