Pros
This red canister vacuum packs a lot of suction power for its size. It works really well for cleaning tile, wood, concrete, cement floors and some light carpeting. It is only 10 pounds and easy to carry (shoulder strap is included) and move around the floor. Even when you pull it here and there the hose is still firmly attached to be base.
The button for turning on and off can be easily accessed by foot (or hand if you prefer). You can change the wand length easily because it has telescoping wand. Press the locking mechanism and you can pull the handle to make it longer to clean those high places.
Since this model has HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filter you can be sure that it can keep those fine dust, pollens and allergens in the bag instead of spouting them back into the air you breathe. Changing the bag and cleaning the filter is a no-brainer which is a huge convenience.
One thing about this canister is that it is small and easy to store in small spaces like in the closet or shelf. Even with all the attachments, hose and power cord the Sanitaire SC3683A only occupies small space.
Cons
The lack of automatic power cord rewinder is really a pity. Even though the cord is only 20 foot long an automatic rewinder would make an excellent feature. The other thing this model miss are wheels for the floor tool to make it glide more easily on the floor.
Conclusion
If you own a cleaning service the Electrolux Eureka Sanitaire SC3683A commercial canister would be an excellent choice. It works well on bare floors and has plenty of tools to take care of various on-site cleaning scenarios. But that does not mean it's not fit for household use. As long as your home is mostly bare floors with very few carpeting this canister would be a good choice too.
