Halloween centerpieces can be for adults too. Centerpieces at Halloween primarily center on kids and just about anything that is creepy and crawly. But many adults enjoy Halloween too. So if you are amongst the millions of adults that also want to enjoy the Halloween season, and possibly entertain during it, then read on about how to make your own elegant Halloween centerpieces for your Halloween party or dinner.

Halloween Centerpiece #1 Floating Candles and Roses

For this Halloween centerpiece you will need the following:

1 large glass bowl that is at least four inches deep

1 black place mat

Red and yellow food coloring

Six black floating candles

Six to ten white hybrid roses, not in full bloom

Place the black placemat in the center of the table. Fill the bowl full almost to the top with tepid water. Add the yellow food coloring first until the water is bright yellow. Then add the red a couple drops at a time until you obtain the color of orange you are looking for. Add the black floating candles. Trim the hybrid roses so that the stems are very short into the bowl of water. Add the roses and then light the candles.

For additional ambiance add other black and white pillar candles grouped around the centerpiece and light the candles as your guests arrive.

Halloween Centerpiece #2 Natural Halloween Centerpiece

Leaves, twigs, hosta or other garden leaves collected from your garden and yard

Eight tall Orange pillar candles

Six White or Green medium height pillar candles

Six black medium height pillar candles

A table runner in solid back

Three glass candelabras

Black and orange taper candles for the candelabras

Fall mums in white or yellow (optional)

Arrange the table runner down the center of the table. Then place one candelabrum in the exact center of the table and the other two equal distances from the center of the table. Add the leaves and twigs from your garden arranged to disburse colors in an attractive background. Then add the large orange pillar candles with four on each side of the center candelabrum. Add the white or green candles and the black ones to the arrangement near the taller orange candles. Place the black and orange taper candles in the candelabras and light all candles just before your guests arrive. Add optional mums if you like.

Both of these two Halloween Centerpieces are elegant and perfect for adult Halloween gatherings. Also try finding pumpkin or other appropriately scented candles for the centerpieces to add to the ambiance of the event.
