Halloween Centerpiece #1 Floating Candles and Roses
For this Halloween centerpiece you will need the following:
1 large glass bowl that is at least four inches deep
1 black place mat
Red and yellow food coloring
Six black floating candles
Six to ten white hybrid roses, not in full bloom
Place the black placemat in the center of the table. Fill the bowl full almost to the top with tepid water. Add the yellow food coloring first until the water is bright yellow. Then add the red a couple drops at a time until you obtain the color of orange you are looking for. Add the black floating candles. Trim the hybrid roses so that the stems are very short into the bowl of water. Add the roses and then light the candles.
For additional ambiance add other black and white pillar candles grouped around the centerpiece and light the candles as your guests arrive.
Halloween Centerpiece #2 Natural Halloween Centerpiece
Leaves, twigs, hosta or other garden leaves collected from your garden and yard
Eight tall Orange pillar candles
Six White or Green medium height pillar candles
Six black medium height pillar candles
A table runner in solid back
Three glass candelabras
Black and orange taper candles for the candelabras
Fall mums in white or yellow (optional)
Arrange the table runner down the center of the table. Then place one candelabrum in the exact center of the table and the other two equal distances from the center of the table. Add the leaves and twigs from your garden arranged to disburse colors in an attractive background. Then add the large orange pillar candles with four on each side of the center candelabrum. Add the white or green candles and the black ones to the arrangement near the taller orange candles. Place the black and orange taper candles in the candelabras and light all candles just before your guests arrive. Add optional mums if you like.
Both of these two Halloween Centerpieces are elegant and perfect for adult Halloween gatherings. Also try finding pumpkin or other appropriately scented candles for the centerpieces to add to the ambiance of the event.
