E.L.F. Cosmetics $3,500 Giveaway Celebrates 25 Million Makeup Products Sold

Jillian McCoy
Over the past few years, e.l.f. cosmetics has been making a name for itself as a budget-friendly source for cosmetics and beauty accessories. Recommendations from YouTube beauty gurus and magazine beauty editors have caused e.l.f.'s popularity to really take off over the course of the past year or so, and now e.l.f. cosmetics gearing up to sell their 25 millionth product. To celebrate, the company is currently running a $3,500 giveaway.

The lucky customer who orders e.l.f.'s 25 millionth product will receive a $1,000 American Express gift card. For slightly less lucky customers, there are 25 2nd prizes up for grabs - e.l.f. cosmetics gift cards worth $100 each. If you're not lucky enough to win at all, e.l.f. is also currently offering coupon codes for different products. With the holiday season just around the corner, this could be the perfect time to snap up some low-priced stocking stuffers.

e.l.f., which stands for "eyes lips face," offers a full range of makeup products, with many priced at just $1 each. Don't let the low prices fool you though; the company's products still offer fantastic results. Their $1 nail polishes wear flawlessly for up to 5 days, and many of their brushes give MAC's a run for their money. Without lid primer, their eye shadows' color payoff leaves something to be desired. With a makeup primer such as Urban Decay Primer Potion (or even e.l.f.'s $1 lid primer) however, the colors do appear more vibrant and offer longer wear

The coupon codes associated with the "Thanks a 25,000,000" giveaway expire in early November, but e.l.f. are known for offering discounts and free bonuses with a purchase. Many orders qualify for a free year's subscription to a major magazine, such as Lucky or Vogue. During last year's holiday season, some of the coupons offered up to 75% off various products, including cosmetic cases or gift sets. For those who miss out on the giveaway, there will likely be other e.l.f. discounts throughout the holiday season.

One drawback is that e.l.f. typically doesn't allow you to combine different coupon codes; you can't use an eye product coupon and a lip product coupon in the same order, for example. With their low prices, this usually doesn't present an issue. You still wind up being able to order a whole armload of makeup for a small fraction of competitors' prices.

Unfortunately, though e.l.f. Products are sold at some Target stores, only website orders are being counted for the giveaway. Still, if you like their products (or have been thinking about trying them out), this giveaway is a good opportunity to snap up some makeup at a discount and maybe win some free money.

This is fantastic news! My wife hasn't been buying makeup because our budget is so poorly funded (both our jobs are currently barely above minimum wage, something we're not used to.) I could make this a nice plus for our ooming anniversary, even without winning anything. Thanks so much for sharing in this great article.

I love elf products. I hadn't heard about the giveaway, so thanks for the heads up!
