Let's start with the good ones:
Mechanical eyelash curler: I used to use eyelash curlers from Shu Uemura and Lancome, and I think those two are really great at curling the lashes, but they seriously pinched my eyelids every time. The elf one isn't as good at curling the lashes, but it never pinched me. And it still did its job so I love it!
Blush: I bought two blushes in shades shy and glow. I love both of them! They are very pigmented so you only need a little bit and the colors work so well with my skin tone. The shy seemed very pink on the computer screen, but it looked more lavender in my face because it kind of makes me look flushed, so I don't use it as much but the color is still pretty. I thought I wouldn't like the glow as much, but the color is really great and not as orange as I thought it would be and had a lot of pink too. One thing that I didn't like is that it breaks easily and you can still use it but have to be very careful with it. Also, the packaging sucked.
Moisture care lip color: I got this in baby lips and it's pretty good. It moisturizes pretty well and the color is pretty too. It does what most lip glosses do. I didn't like the packaging of this product too. The packaging is convenient but it looked very cheap.
Not so good ones:
Clarifying pressed powder: I have this in both tone 1 and tone 2. The website said that tone 2 would be a match for me but I just wanted to be sure because I couldn't find ELF products anywhere near where I shop. Well, the colors are both ok, and they have a good coverage but they turned into a horrible orange color like a minute after I put them on. So, they change color after you put them on, and it looked horrible.
Therapeutic conditioning balm: I actually like this pretty well because the scent is amazingly yummy and they are pretty moisturizing but they break very easily and leaves films and crumbs. There are other lip balms that are just as cheap, smells nice and moisturizes well that doesn't break or leaves films. So, I wouldn't recommend this.
nail polish: This isn't so bad either. But, they were saying that the packaging, which looked vert cheap and fake, is very innovative, which was ridiculous. I tried to take off that dried polish thing and it wouldn't close. Well, for the product, it's not so bad. But it does chip and the color nude, which I thought would be a light beige was more a light pink and I wasn't so thrilled about that. And the included brush isn't very good either.
Brushes: I bought 3 brushes in total: total face brush, blush brush and foundation brush. The blush brush and total face brush seemed to be made from the same material and was very stiff and scratched my face a lot. And the total face brush shed like crazy and I had to throw it away but the blush brush didn't shed as much. The foundation brush was ok. It didn't shed so much and it was soft. But it made it really hard to avoid streaks when applying foundation so I don't use it at all.
Brighting eyeliner: So I bought a couple of these eyeliners and didn't like them at all. They were very chalky, didn't apply very smoothly and the colors weren't what I thought they would be. The NYC eyeliners are just 99cents and they are a whole lot better, in my opinion.
But the good thing about elf is that they are very cheap so you don't feel as bad when the product turns out to be horrible. And they have great promotions and discounts so you can spend even less. Here a few of their discount codes:
