To start off I have to mention the unbelievable price. E.L.F's Duo eyeshadow cream sells for a dollar each, that's two colors for one dollar! Who knew you could still get anything for a dollar anymore these days. The next great thing about this product is that it's by E.L.F cosmetics. I'm not a fan of E.L.F. simply for the dollar priced makeup but because this company strives to provide great products to their customers while staying ethical. I buy this product knowing that it's up to E.L.F's standards and wasn't tested on animals.
Aside from the price and providing my conscious with relief, I love that each Duo eye shadow cream comes with two cream shadows, hence the name. This product comes in a circle, plastic twist container that's easy to close and open, and it comes with two different shades. I found the colors to be very pigmented, which is great because finding a good pigmented cream shadow is hard. I found that the cream shadows lasted pretty long, about five hours before fading. It also worked as a good base. I didn't find it sticky or greasy the least bit either. I liked that I can wear it alone or under powder shadows. It was also easy to blend and has sort of a silky texture to it, which I liked very much.
No product isn't without its faults so here are some of the cons to E.L.F's Duo eyeshadow cream. My first complaint is that this product can be hard to find depending on where you live. E.L.F doesn't exactly have it's own store and it's not generally sold in major makeup stores like ULTA or Sephora. I got lucky because I stumbled across it while at a Burlington store. Something I think that E.L.F. can improve on with this product is the creasing. It does tend to crease and smudge, especially if you have oily eyelids.
Overall though I think that E.L.F's Duo eyeshadow cream is a great cream shadow product. I would buy more and would recommend this product. It's not the best but it's very good for only costing me a dollar.
