E.L.F Eye Makeup Remover Pads: Product Review

Alexis Valentine
I've always been an Almay girl when it comes to eye makeup remover. After all Almay is the number one eye makeup remover in America, at least that's what it said in Lucky magazine, or was it Cosmo? Anyway I recently got into a new brand of makeup called E.L.F, or Eyes Lips Face. They're known for having very affordable makeup and makeup brushes. I've heard so many good things about this brand that I looked into E.L.F more. After reading dozens of reviews and watching videos on E.L.F's product reviews on Youtube I finally decided to just try some products out for myself. It wouldn't costs me much and I'd have some new toys to play with. One of the products that I got was E.L.F's eye makeup remover pads. Like I said, I've always been an Almay girl when it came to this particular product but I figured it was worth a try.

About

E.L.F's eye makeup remover pads are fragrance free and specially formulated to quickly and easily remove makeup without leaving your face feeling sticky, oily or dry. Eighteen pads come in each twist open-and-seal circular case that's easy to carry around. The size of the compact is small enough to be carried around in a purse or packed away for traveling.

My Experience
Pros

I'd like to start off by saying that E.L.F's eye makeup remover pads are probably the most affordable eye makeup products I've ever tried. I ordered two packs and they only costs me a dollar each. Like the rest of E.L.F's products their eye makeup remover pad formula wasn't tested on animals. I find the pads to be very soft and gentle to use around the eye area. I like that it doesn't sting or smell funny like some of the other makeup removers that I've tried. Even my Almay makeup remover pads stung a little and has a slight smell to it, not a bad one but I prefer it to be unscented. I like the travel size, easy to pack, and easy to open and close container that the pads come in. I tried E.L.F's eye makeup remover pads with every eye shadow brand that I had to see how well it worked. I was very surprised and pleased that it did such a great job of removing my makeup. Not only did it remove every trace of makeup but I was able to remove most of it with just one pad, and there was no scrubbing needed. My Almay makeup remover doesn't even work that well. It works just as well on waterproof makeup too.

Cons

There were only a few things about E.L.F's eye makeup remover pads that I thought could use come improvements on. The first thing is that like most of E.L.F's products it can be hard to find in stores. It's much easier to just order it off of their website, but shipping costs nearly $7. I did notice that the pads can get kind of soapy too. What I mean is that while I was using it a lather started building up. I also wish that the pads were offered in bigger numbers because 18 isn't enough for me. I went through one pack within just a few days, of course I was testing out some of the other products I got.

Verdict

E.L.F's eye makeup remover pads is a great product. Not only does it get the job done but it gets the job done very well, even better than America's number one eye makeup remover. The best part is that it's only a dollar. I would for sure buy more of this product.
