E.L.F Eye Makeup Remover Pads Vs. Almay's Makeup Remover
A Comparison Between a $1 Product and America's #1 Eye Makeup Remover Product
I've been using Almay for several years but I've only used E.L.F's eye makeup remover for about a month now. I've tried them both with all sorts of makeup, everything from mineral to pressed powder, liquid and waterproof. E.L.F's eye makeup remover pads didn't irritate my eyes, which is always good because I'm a contact lens wearer, or my eyelids. Almay's liquid eye makeup remover was the same but there was some burning when I used their eye makeup remover pads. I'm not sure why the pads would burn but the liquid version didn't. Both E.L.F and Almay's eye makeup remover did a good job of removing all of my regular makeup but I did noticed that with Almay I had to rub a little harder and even then it left a slight stain behind. Whereas E.L.F removed all of my eye makeup much easier and didn't leave any signs of makeup behind. One other thing that I noticed is that I didn't have to use as much E.L.F product to remove all of my makeup.
The next set of makeup I tried the E.L.F and Almay's eye makeup remover on is my waterproof makeup. I have to say that once again I had to do a little more rubbing and use more product when I used Almay than when I used E.L.F. Almay had a tougher time removing all of my waterproof mascara and although I had to do some rubbing with the E.L.F eye makeup remover I did get all of my waterproof mascara off. Another thing that I noticed is that E.L.F's eye makeup remover pads tend to get soapy and lather up with too much rubbing, Almay's doesn't do that. Almay also has more product and comes in liquid form too, whereas E.L.F only comes in pads and are only available in 18 count containers.
If I had to go by performance alone I would say that E.L.F did a much better job at removing all of my makeup, even waterproof, than Almay did. E.L.F's eye makeup remover didn't even leave my skin dry, oily or sticky, whereas Almay tends to leave a slightly sticky residue on my skin. My choice between the two would have to be E.L.F's eye makeup remover pads.
