E.L.F. Hyper Shine Lip Gloss Review

Let it Shine

E.L.F. cosmetics has become one of my favorite makeup brand. They have such a huge selection of products to choose from and are always coming out with new stuff and improving on the old. I won't lie the prices were what originally got my attention but it was also what made me very skeptical about the quality. After some research and watching dozens of customer reviews on Youtube I finally broke down and ordered some items to try out. I was in love from that moment on. One product that I've tried and liked very much was their Hyper Shine lip gloss. The following are my pros and cons on E.L.F.'s Hyper Shine lip gloss.

What I liked about this lip gloss is that it went on very glossy, which is how all lip glosses should be. I liked the packaging too, it came in a twisty bottom tube. I actually prefer this over the traditional lip gloss where you have to apply with an applicator. E.L.F's Hyper Shine lip gloss has a felt tip applicator which was nice because I didn't have to worry about any leaking when it's being tousled about in my purse. It's completely mess free because I was able to control how much product comes out of the tube. The best part was that it only costs me one dollar and I know because it's by E.L.F. cosmetic that it's totally cruelty-free.

I thought that E.L.F's Hyper Shine lip gloss was pretty true to color, at least the colors that I tried out anyway, which was Vixen, Flirt and Blossom. I also liked the scent and the taste was pleasant, it didn't taste like makeup. I found this lip gloss to be moisturizing and worked great either alone or over lipstick.

Now for the cons to E.L.F's Hyper Shine lip gloss. E.L.F. cosmetics in generally can be hard to find. I've never been able to find a place that had a big selection of their products, and trying to find this lip gloss in stores can be a hassle for this reason. I liked that this lip gloss came in eight colors but the colors didn't vary much from each other. I would've liked it if E.L.F. had offered more color variations. I found that it wore off easily and isn't pigmented enough to be worn at night unless it's being worn over a lipstick. I also found it to be sticky in texture and on the lips, and the tube didn't really contain much gloss.

Overall though I thought E.L.F's Hyper Shine lip gloss was a decent gloss for every day wear. It's only a dollar so it's definitely worth spending the money on if you enjoy lip glosses.
