E.L.F. Studio Line Eyebrow Treat and Tame Review

A Two in One Eyebrow Product

Alexis Valentine
If you're one of the millions of women out there with eyebrow issues you're probably like me and have tried all sorts of products to fill in your brows and even tried products that claimed to help grow back your eyebrows. Sparse eyebrows can be the result of many things the most common is over plucking, the other thing is genetic. My problem happened to stem from genetics. I have fairly full eyebrows towards the front but they get very sparse and thin towards the outer edges. I've tried all sorts of pencils, creams, fillers, powders, etc. Everything from drug store brands to high end products. I've only been able to find a few products that have actually worked for me though. One eyebrow product that I've tried out was E.L.F's Studio eyebrow treat and tame.

What I liked about this E.L.F. eyebrow product was that it was a two in one product. It came with a colored tame side and a clear treat side. You can sort of guess from the name what each side is used for. The tame side was meant to fill in sparse eyebrows as well as form them the way a brow gel works. The treat side was designed to stimulate growth. I liked that the product had good pigmentation, the colored side that is. I found that it did a good job of "taming" my eyebrows giving them more shape and color. It also kept some of my unruly brow hair in place. This product comes in three shades and can obviously be worn alone or underneath makeup.

The downside to E.L.F's Studio eyebrow treat and tame is that it's sort of an ineffective brow product. By that I mean that it goes on sort of heavy. My eyebrow area felt oily, and it's even cause some minor breakouts around that area. I also thought that it didn't last very long, in fact it rubs off quite easily and smears just as easily if you're not careful with where you put your hands. I've used this and tried to put on a white top once and it turned out a big mess. As for the repair and restore clear side, well, I haven't noticed any difference. It's been months so I would safely say it doesn't actually work.

Overall, I thought that E.L.F's Studio eyebrow treat and tame was a waste of money. I would not purchase this product again no matter how cheap it is because it's pretty much useless. I would suggest avoiding this product and try something else if you're thinking about trying this product out.
