E.L.F. Studio Line Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara Review

Pretty Good for the Price

Mascara is a must have product for any woman and teen. It's just one of those necessary makeup items that pretty much everyone who wears makeup uses. Mascaras are great for those with thin and short lashes, or even for those that have perfect lashes. My weakness are mascaras, I can never have enough and I'm always on the look out for new ones to try. When I found out that my favorite cosmetic brand, E.L.F., offered a mascara under their Studio line I of course had to get my hands on it. I'm a huge fan of their Studio line and have liked pretty much everything that I've tried, so there was no way I wasn't going to try their mascara.

After using E.L.F's Studio lengthening and volumizing mascara for several months I can't say I love it, but I definitely don't hate it, not at all. I really liked this mascara but I wouldn't consider it a favorite. There were several things that I liked about this mascara, the first was obviously the price. E.L.F's Studio lengthening and volumizing mascara only costs me $3, try finding a decent mascara for that price somewhere else. Even drug store brand mascaras costs more than that. I also liked that it was easy to apply because the mascara handle and brush weren't too thick or bulky. I have a Maybelline mascara that gives me gorgeous lashes but the handle is cumbersome. I liked that the mascara went on evenly and it defined and separated my lashes nicely. I found that it didn't clump either, at least hardly anyway. E.L.F's Studio lengthening and volumizing mascara did what it was designed to do, volumize and lengthen. This mascara is available in black and brown, as well as waterproof. I also liked that it didn't flake, something I can't tolerate as a contact lens wearer.

E.L.F's Studio lengthening and volumizing mascara is a good product but it's not perfect and can definitely be improved on. I would've liked it if this mascara came in more colors. I would've also liked it if the lengthening and volume was more dramatic. Yes, I did notice the difference between the before and after I applied my mascara, but it was nothing like the lashes I get when I use Maybelline's Colossal or NYX's Doll Eyes mascaras.

The imperfections aside, E.L.F's Studio lengthening and volumizing mascara is a fairly decent mascara that does what it claims, not to mention super affordable. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to try it but it's not a must-have product, and I probably wouldn't purchase it again.
