What I liked about E.L.F's Studio shimmer palette was that it came in a chic portable compact with four shades to play with. The compact also came with a brush, perfect for traveling or the girl that's always on-the-go. I also liked that it didn't go on heavy or oily. It's easy to apply, either with the brush it came with or with my ring finger. Considering the shades it came in I thought the pigmentation was pretty good. I love the creamy, smooth texture too. I found it to go on easily and evenly. It looks great worn alone or under or with other makeups. It's designed to be worn on the eyelids, lips and face so it's definitely a multifunctional product. I like to dab a little around my cheeks and eyelids to brighten up my skin and give it a natural glow, especially now that it's heading into winter. The colors can be mixed and match, blends well and works wonderfully as a base and with powder eyeshadows. I also haven't noticed any irritation from using this on my cheeks. The best part is that it only cost me $3.
The only real downside to E.L.F's Studio shimmer palette is that when it's used on the eyelids it does crease and fade a tad over time. I would suggest using a good eyeshadow primer if you're using it as a base or just alone on the eyelids. The other thing is that I couldn't find it in stores so I had to order it off of E.L.F's website which isn't a problem if you don't mind the $7 shipping fee. But if you're just ordering this product it's really not worth it to spend $10 on.
Other than that I thought it was a pretty good product. Is it a must-have? No, I wouldn't say that. It's a nifty little multifunctional product to have but it's not extraordinary. I most likely won't be purchasing this E.L.F. product again. I also probably wouldn't recommend it simply because it's not so great of a product that I feel I should spread the word about it.
