E.L.F. Studio Line Single Eyeshadow Review

Good Quality for the Price

E.L.F. cosmetic recently came out with several new products under their Studio line; it's what some people may consider E.L.F's version of a "high end" line. There were several new lip, face and eye products and among them was their single eyeshadows. I have a ton of eyeshadows as it is so I refrained from buying their single eyeshadows for at least a couple of weeks. I was curious about the product so I did some research and watched some reviews on Youtube, all of which were positive feedbacks, so I gave in and bought a few in different colors. Despite the good reviews I was still skeptical about the quality of the product. I love E.L.F. products but their products, even their Studio line products can be a hit and miss sometimes.

There were several things that I liked about E.L.F's Studio single eyeshadows. I liked that it's affordable at just $3 a color, and the quality is very nice which makes it worth every cent. I found that it blended easily and very well with other eyeshadow colors. It also goes on very smoothly and evenly. I love the silky texture to these E.L.F. eyeshadows too. I have sensitive skin and the slightest irritation will flame up the area, I didn't have that problem with these E.L.F. shadows. I found these eyeshadows to be highly pigmented as well so I would recommend using a little bit and building it up to the intensity that you want, otherwise you'll end up looking like a hot mess. E.L.F's Studio single eyeshadows come in ten colors, all of the colors are nice rich. The last thing I'd like to point out is that I noticed that with these eyeshadows there wasn't a lot of fall out, which is great because I'm contact lens wearer.

As much as I liked E.L.F's Studio single eyeshadows there were some negative points to it as well, so it's definitely not a perfect product. I have noticed that despite the quality of this eyeshadow it does crease and fade with long wear. It doesn't crease and fade a whole lot, not as bad as a lot of the drug store brands do but it does so enough to be noticeable in close proximity. I would suggest that if you plan on buying this eyeshadow and using it for all day wear, invest in a good eyeshadow primer like Urban Decay's Primer Potion. I don't know if it will prevent it completely but I'm sure it will at least reduce it a good deal.

Overall, I thought that E.L.F's Studio single eyeshadow was a great product and I would definitely purchase more. Despite the minor creasing and fading I still think it's worth the money, but as I mentioned earlier I would suggest investing in a good eyeshadow primer.
