Elijah Clark State Park is a 447 acre Georgia state park located on the western shores of the 70,000 acre Clarks Hill Lake, the second largest manmade lake east of the Mississippi River. The park is located near the town of Lincolnton on the eastern side of the state, near the border of South Carolina. The park is named after revolutionary war hero and frontiersman Elijah Clark who lived and fought near this area. His home is recreated into a living museum and tours are available daily.

This amazing Georgia state park is home to plenty of fun water activities. A sandy beach with roped off buoys allows swimmers to enjoy the cool waters of Clark Hills Lake. The beach is a favorite summer time spot for local residents who come from the nearby town of Lincolnton.

Boaters love Elijah Clark State Park. Four easy to access boat ramps provide guests with an opportunity to launch a variety of vessels from a variety of locations. Water sports like skiing, tubing and wakeboarding are very popular along the many miles of deep water in the lake. With over 70,000 acres of water, you're sure to find plenty of room to enjoy your favorite water sport.

Fishing is also very popular at Elijah Clark State Park. Whether you fish from a boat or the huge fishing pier in the park, you're sure to catch something worth bringing home. A fish cleaning station is set up near the fishing pier and is available to all guests of the park. Anglers can except to catch bluegill, trout, bass and bream.

But you don't have to get your feet wet to enjoy all there is to do at Elijah Clark State Park. Hiking the nearly four miles of nature trails that winds their way through the park is a great way to see the wildlife and forests that share the park. Pack a bite to eat and enjoy one of the many picnic tables for the perfect outdoor lunch after your hike.

There are 165 tent and RV sites at Elijah Clark State Park for your overnight stay. Each site includes access to hot showers and restroom facilities. A picnic table, fire ring, electricity and water are available at each site that rents for $25-$28 a night. Ten walk-in tent sites and 20 cottages are also available for rent to those who prefer to rough it or be pampered.
