According to reports Elijah Wood will work as a producer on a new film called 'Black Wings Has My Angel'. The new film is actually based on a book of the same name that was written in 1953.
The story of 'Black Wings Has My Angel' centres around an escort and an ex-con as there are trying to carry out a robbery. Elliott Chaze wrote the book.
Elijah Wood will only be working on the film in a producer role; he won't make an appearance on film. When asked about the new role Elijah Wood said that he was looking forward to "bringing 'a lost classic' back to life".
It was the story that inspired Wood to take up the producer position. 'Black Wings Has My Angel' is a noir novel and will soon be a noir film. Wood said, "I've always been intrigued by noir novels and noir films. I love that style. And to unearth something from that era that hasn't been made into a film or is not a remake is really exciting. It's a lost classic."
Fans won't have to wait long for Elijah Wood's next film appearance, as it is only a few short weeks away. His newest film will makes its first appearance that the New York, 'Tribeca Film Festival'. The film is called 'Day Zero', a story the centres around three good friends that are drafted during wartime.
Elijah Wood is also just completed filming another movie called 'The Oxford Murders'. This films looks to be an interesting thriller in which the main characters attempt to stop murders and crack mathematical codes. It currently has a December 2007 release date. Filming for the movie took place in London.
Elijah Wood was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on the 28 of January, 1981. His acting talent was evident early in his childhood, causing his mother to take Elijah to a talent convention in L.A. From that point on Elijah Wood's Hollywood career began. The budding star first appeared on screen with some parts in commercials and TV shows. His first film role came in 1990 when he played a part in 'Avalon'. That lead to numerous other film roles, most notably, 'The Good Son', 'Deep Impact', 'The Faculty' and of course the epic trilogy 'Lord of the Rings'.
