Eliminating Smelly Feet: Foot Odor Tips and Tricks

Rodney Southern
If you have smelly feet, then you understand how frustrating they can be. Being asked to take off your shoes can be a fairly embarrassing experience when you suffer from foot odor. There are some things that you can do to eliminate foot odor and wipe out smelly feet forever. Try some combination of the following ideas until you find the solution that works for you:

Use Deodorant On Your Feet

As silly as this might seem, it actually works rather well. Rub a little deodorant on your feet and let the antiperspirant work on those smelly feet. If you eliminate the sweat on your feet, it follows that they will smell better. Antiperspirant is made for just such a problem.

Wash Your Feet More Than Once

Some people with smelly feet simply resign themselves to the problem. The truth is, most foot odors can be solved by better hygiene. Try washing your feet extra well, rather than giving them the once over. Foot odor is persistent, so you should be persistent in your washing as well. Take the time to lather them up a couple of times each time you take a bath. Some people even wash their feet in the middle of the day when they are able.

Change Socks Regularly

Wearing the same socks will give you foot odor no matter how much you wash. Try changing your socks during the middle of the day and you should see a difference as well. This can be done rather easily even at work by simply excusing yourself to the bathroom.

Try Foot Powders and Inserts

These various foot odor products can be a huge help when it comes to smelly feet, but you should not count on them as a replacement for good hygiene. Look for products that focus on absorbing moisture to get the most effective results.

Smelly feet are an annoyance to be sure, but even the worst foot odor can be overcome with a good hygienic schedule. Take some time to baby those feet and you will eventually get them smelling wonderful again. Remember, keeping your feet clean and dry is the key.
