What is the Elimination Chamber?

The Elimination Chamber is 16 feet high, 36 feet in diameter, consists of over 2 miles of chain, and weighs over 10 tons. Two superstars start the match, while the other four are locked up in a plexiglass chamber. After a certain amount of time has passed one of the chambers will open allowing another superstar to enter the match. A superstar is eliminated by pin fall or submission, the last superstar standing is the winner of the match.

RAW ELIMINATION CHAMBER MATCH - THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH EARNS A WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH AT WRESTLE MANIA: John Cena vs. King Sheamus vs. John Morrison vs. R-Truth vs. Randy Orton vs. CM Punk

John Cena - Cena is one of the favorites to win this match. He has been out of the Championship picture for quite some time. A win in the Elimination Chamber is the perfect way to launch him back into title contention.

King Sheamus - Sheamus will be filling the monster role inside the Chamber. It is possible that he eliminates Morrison, R-Truth, and even Orton (if he is to busy chasing down Punk).

John Morrison - Once again Morrison is playing the role of crowd pleaser. Morrison will give us some unique maneuvers inside the Chamber, but that will not be enough for him to pick up the victory.

R-Truth - If Truth's injury sustained at the hands of Nexus is serious we may not even see him in this match. He could be replaced by Nexus member Mason Ryan giving Punk a huge advantage in the Chamber. If Truth is able to compete he will be filling a role similar to Morrison's but it will not be enough to earn him a Championship Match at Wrestle Mania.

Randy Orton - Orton is another favorite in this match. However, his eagerness to get his hands on CM Punk is going to cost him a Championship Match at Wrestle Mania.

CM Punk - Punk will be one of the last two men inside the Chamber facing off against John Cena. As long as the New Nexus does not find a way into the Chamber to help their leader we will see John Cena heading to Wrestle Mania.

Winner of the Raw Elimination Chamber: John Cena

SMACKDOWN ELIMINATION CHAMBER MATCH - WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Edge (Champion) vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Kane vs. Wade Barrett vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler

Edge - Edge is the favorite to win this match. Vickie Guerrero will do anything to help her boyfriend Dolph Ziggler win the match, even if that means having Edge be the first superstar to enter the Chamber. With a little luck and maybe some help from The Undertaker, Edge will be able to defy the odds and remain Champion.

Rey Mysterio - Mysterio is filling the role as crowd pleaser in this match. Like Morrison he will provide the WWE Universe with some unique moves, but it will not be enough to win the World Heavyweight Championship.

Kane - Kane is playing the role of the monster in this match. Look for him to take out Mysterio, Ziggler, or McIntyre. Despite picking up a few eliminations Kane will loss focus as The Undertaker plays mind games with him or finds his way into the Chamber to repay Kane for burying him alive.

Wade Barrett - Barrett may be able to sneak his way into the final three, but like Kane he needs to be wary of The Undertaker. When Barrett was the leader of Nexus he helped Kane put The Undertaker into his grave. That decision could end up costing Barrett the World Heavyweight Championship.

Drew McIntyre - On Smackdown McIntyre was angry with Edge for Kelly Kelly being fired a week earlier. If McIntyre takes that anger with him into the Elimination Chamber it could end up costing him the match.

Dolph Ziggler - Ziggler was unable to defeat Edge one on one at the Royal Rumble. Now he has to deal with four other superstars besides Edge. With Vickie Guerrero at his side he might get an advantage in this match. I could see Guerrero allowing Ziggler to be the last superstar released from his pod. A huge advantage like that will not be enough to help Ziggler. That is why for the second PPV in a row Ziggler will be unsuccessful at becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Winner of the Smackdown Elimination Chamber: Edge

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: The Miz (Champion) vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler

Jerry Lawler is 61 years old giving him the Championship is unrealistic. If Lawler won this match it would cheapen the WWE Championship. WWE is saying that Lawler is not only better than The Miz, but he is also better than other superstars like John Cena, Randy Orton, King Sheamus, and CM Punk. If Lawler does win this match it better be by disqualification because it would not be "AWESOME" if The Miz lost the Championship to a 61 year old man. Lawler should not even become Champion for one night. The Miz needs to do whatever it takes to remain Champion. If that means getting disqualified or getting counted out than so be it.

Winner: The Miz remains Champion due to disqualification or count out.

MATCH: Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio

Del Rio is riding high off his victory at the Royal Rumble. That momentum will be enough for him to pick up the victory over Kofi. Del Rio is the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. Losing a singles match by pin fall or submission makes him appear less worthy of being the number one contender.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio

WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov (Champions) vs. Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel

Marella and Kozlov have been Champions since December 6th 2010, but their Championship run could be coming to an end at the Elimination Chamber. They will be at a huge disadvantage if the rest of Corre appear at ringside. If Gabriel and Slater are able to pick up the victory it gives them a reason to travel to Raw or Smackdown to defend the Championships. Where one member of the Corre goes the rest of them follow. By giving the Championships to Gabriel and Slater it will give the WWE a chance to start a feud between New Nexus and The Corre.

Winners: The New WWE Tag Team Champions Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel

OTHER NOTES:

Look for Eve to defend her Divas Championship. Eve just won the Championship last month. If she happens to defend her Championship that will be enough to keep her Champion.

Look for Daniel Bryan to defend his United States Championship. If Bryan does defend his Championship it will be highly unlikely that he would lose because the match was not advertised.

It is also possible that the Big Show takes on Ezekiel Jackson. For the past few weeks The Corre as hand Big Show's number. Show usually puts up a good fight but the numbers always become to great for Show to handle. If Show can get Jackson one on one he will have a better chance at picking up the victory.

    Hey Owen,

Mysterio did cross my mind because of his recent feud with Del Rio. It just seems to soon to take the Championship off Edge.

  • Owen Walter2/13/2011

I like your picks but I actually think that Mysterio is going to win and go onto Wrestlemania as the champion.

  • Wrestling Fanatic2/12/2011

Good analysis. I agree with all three of your picks.

Can't wait to find out the final outcome.
