Elimination Chamber

The Elimination Chamber Returns Sunday, February 21st Live on Pay Per View

What is the Elimination Chamber?

The Elimination Chamber is 16 feet high, 36 feet in diameter, consists of over 2 miles of chain, and weighs over 10 tons. Two superstars start the match, while the other four are locked up in a plexiglass chamber. After a certain amount of time has passed one of the chambers will open allowing another superstar to enter the match. A superstar is eliminated by pin fall or submission, the last superstar standing is the winner of the match.

WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match:

Sheamus (Champion)

John Cena

Triple H

Randy Orton

Ted DiBiase Jr.

Kofi Kingston

I would like to see Sheamus win the match and remain champion, but it is highly unlikely with Wrestle Mania around the corner. WWE will want a top start such as John Cena or Triple H to headline Wrestle Mania, based on that Sheamus does not have a very good chance at winning the match. I would like to see Sheamus win so he can keep his undefeated streak going. If WWE wants to take the title of Sheamus they should have him lose the title in a triple threat match on Raw. By doing that Sheamus can lose the title without being pinned and remain undefeated. He could later claim that he still deserves to be champion because he was never defeated.

This Monday on Raw Triple H and HBK will defend the Unified Tag Team Championships in a tag team triple threat match against The Big Show & Miz and CM Punk & Luke Gallows. If Triple H and HBK lose the tag titles on Raw, look for Triple H to be the winner of the Elimination Chamber.

If Triple H and HBK remain tag team champions, look for John Cena to win the match. Randy Orton will most likely be eliminated by DiBiase allowing those two to square off against each other at Wrestle Mania

World Heavy Weight Championship Elimination Chamber Match:

The Undertaker (Champion)

John Morrison (Questionable)

CM Punk

Chris Jericho

Rey Mysterio

R-Truth

The obvious choice is for Jericho to win the Elimination Chamber. I say Jericho is the obvious choice because Jericho and Edge use to be tag team champions, until Edge got injured. When Edge got injured Jericho replaced him with the Big Show. Then Edge returned from injury at the Royal Rumble and earned himself a title shot at Wrestle Mania. If Jericho becomes Champion it will allow Edge to get back at Jericho for taking the tag titles away from him, by challenging Jericho at Wrestle Mania. If Jericho does not win the match, look for Undertaker to remain champion.

CM Punk may win the match. It all depends what happens on next weeks episode of Raw when he teams up with Gallows to take on DX for the Unified Tag Team Titles. If Punk and Gallows win the tag titles, it is very unlikely that he would win the Elimination Chamber as well.

John Morrison and R-Truth are long shots to win the match. They are only in the match to provide some unique moves and keep the match interesting. John Morrison also suffered a injury on the Feb. 12th episode of Smackdown. There has been no word if Morrison will miss the match. If Morrison is unable to compete look for HBK or Edge to replace him.

If HBK wins the Chamber he can give Undertaker his rematch at Wrestle Mania. I'm sure Edge is a long shot at replacing Morrison, but if Edge were able to win the Chamber. WWE could go back to having a Unified Championship Title. Edge could challenge the winner of the Raw Elimination Chamber in a Title vs. Title match.

I don't see Mysterio winning the match either. If WWE wanted him to be Champion they would have allowed him to win the title last month at the Royal Rumble.

Intercontinental Championship Match: Drew McIntyre (Champion) vs. Kane

I think McIntyre will match he has only held the title for two months, and I don't see his title reign coming to an end just yet. If Kane wins, look for McIntyre to compete in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at Wrestle Mania.

Divas Championship Match: Gail Kim vs. Maryse

I think Maryse will win this match. Jillian, Mickie James, and Maryse were the last three Divas to hold the championship. Jillian only held the title for about 30 seconds before losing it to Melina. Now that Melina is injured and Mickie James is on Smackdown, I think they will give the title to Maryse.

Other Notes:

Look for Miz to face MVP at Elimination Chamber. Last night on Raw, Miz and the Big Show won the Unified Tag Team Titles. Miz is currently the United States Champion, so he is currently holding three different championships. I don't think that will last very long and he will lose the United States Championship at Elimination Chamber if not sooner.

Also look for Batista to face someone at Elimination Chamber. Maybe he will face HBK in a number one contender match. So which ever champion Edge does not face than HBK or Batista can face him. This would be a good way for HBK to earn his title shot and face Undertaker and Wrestle Mania.
