Elin Nordegren Claims Children Are the Reason She's Getting Through Tiger Woods Divorce

Elin Nordegren claims that her children are the only reason she's getting through the nightmare that is the Tiger Woods divorce. The saga - which started back in November when Tiger Woods had a bizarre single vehicle car accident outside his exclusive Windermere, Florida estate - has been a media three ring circus from the get-go.

It's amazing to think that anyone could get through the public embarrassment. If anyone was able to hold their head up high and avoid looking like a drama queen, it was Elin Nordegren. Even though she was accused of lashing out physically against her husband (and no one would have blamed her) she didn't lose her cool.

She stayed to herself, stayed quiet, and didn't fuel the fire.

So why was Elin able to get through the disaster with style and grace? Her children. Tiger and Elin have two children - a three year old daughter named Sam and a one year old son named Sam.

Bleacher Report indicates that "Elin admits that she is completely heartbroken, but she says that simply having her children around her has been a blessing. She knows that even though her children are so young, they still feel that something is going on.

"Just having them around, hugging me, kissing me, gives me the strength to get through every day."

The former Mrs. Woods also admits to feeling stupid after all the allegations started to surface, because she had absolutely no idea what was going on. She goes on to say that although she plans on staying in the US, she and the children will travel frequently to Sweden to see her family. She wants her children to have a relationship with their father, and also experience the Swedish culture.

What lies ahead for Elin Noredegren? She plans on pursuing a psychology degree, and opening up a mental health clinic to help people get through tough times.

I guess I am sort of surprised that Elin Nordegren didn't know what was going on. However, Tiger was on the road a lot and he likely had a lot of people covering his tracks for him. It's too bad their relationship ended in such a public way, but in the end perhaps the two will end up happier. Tiger is reportedly moving to a Manhattan bachelor pad, and Elin is, as mentioned before, bettering herself through studies.
