Elin (Nordegren) Woods - Will She Stick with Marriage to Tiger - for the Sake of the Kids?

Elin Woods Negotiating a New Prenuptial Agreement to Stay in Marriage

With children aged just 2 and 10 months, it will not be surprising if Elin Woods stays in her marriage to Tiger for the sake of the two tots. If she had intended to go down the divorce road, it is likely she would have already left Tiger to his own devices.

A friend of Elin's is purported to have told People magazine that "She is a child of divorce and that's not something she's likely going to want to do to Sam and Charlie." The source further stated "She really believes in the importance of parents staying together."

Tiger Woods is said to have "come clean" and told Elin the full extent of his alleged affairs with multiple mistresses. They are also supposedly in the process of negotiating to alter their existing prenuptial agreement to add a further $55 million if Elin stays in the marriage for another 2 years.

Plenty has been reported about the 11 mistresses and Tiger's alleged goings on with them. His public image has been wrecked and all 15 TV advertisements featuring him have been pulled off TV schedules in the US and elsewhere. A PR expert has reported that Tiger is "beyond PR redemption".

The sordid details of the Woods sex scandal have been widely commented on around the globe. There is no TV drama now or in the past that could have held a candle to the events that Tiger Woods is alleged to have been involved with.

Elin Woods must be a very strong person with loads of determination. Perhaps she figures the dust will settle and the family will live in obscurity for some time into the future. However, some people, and the press in general, never forget these types of scandals. This one will be raked over for many years to come.

If Elin gives Tiger the chance to stay in the marriage, he needs to work extremely hard to make up for his misdemeanors. He should concentrate on his family and search his soul for ways to redeem himself and move forward to provide his wife and children with a happy life. If he chooses to get back on the golf course, he will have to cop it sweet from the gallery. There is no doubt that spectators will not go easy on Tiger. It remains to be seen whether he can rebuild his golfing career.

Perhaps a holiday in Sweden will help the Woods family to escape the media spotlight in the short term. Elin Woods' decision to put the welfare of her children first is admirable. It is to be hoped that she can find peace and contentment in her future life.

Good article. I think she should leave him for the sake of the children.

And thus another reason not to put an athlete up on a pedestal. Good job on this one!

Well said girls! He's just lucky he's not dealing with "me" - lol. I wouldn't want his money - I'd just want him GONE.

I guess that's what we get for thinking too much of another person. We're all just faulty people. But if Tiger doesn't clean up his act big-time, I hope his wife won't stay with him. What kind of life will those poor little kids have, knowing how miserable their mother will be if their dad keeps cheating on her? He needs some kind of professional help, as well as help from God.

The wife and kids always seem to survive, so to speak, whether they stay together or not. It's the American people who have lost a hero. Tiger was an all-American success story, clean machine, and somebody many looked up to. Not any more.

If Tiger truly wants to work it out and she can get past his follies, then hopefully he will seriously put in the time and work. For the children's sake, I hope they can. Long road ahead for them, though.

If she stays married to him it will be for the sake of the money - 80 plus million is a good incentive to live separately but stay legally married.
