Elisabeth Hasselbeck Returns: Nip Slip Photo, Rush Limbaugh Defense (Video Included)

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Uses Post-Partem as Excuse; What's Her Excuse for Vapidness?

Elisabeth Hasselbeck rejoined the ladies of "The View" Monday for the first time in two months, having had a baby (and taken at least one photo) in the interim. So, of course, the ladies talked about the baby, Isaiah. They talked about Rush Limbaugh because that is the one of the very few topics that makes Elisabeth Hasselbeck relevant to a conversation on "The View" (if it isn't about football, of course). And Elisabeth Hasselbeck also told the story of her nip slip photo.

On a day when some of the big stories were Whitney Houston's wardrobe malfunction that was little more than a broken strap, the resurrection of the old video of Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins' wardrobe malfunction (where the train of her ensemble tore away on a runway while she was modeling, revealing bare buttocks and a thong), and an actress who thinks she's a vampire, Elisabeth Hasselbeck's return to "The View" fit right in. What could be more interesting than a has-been, an old video, and someone with a blood-drinking fetish? Apparently, Elisabeth Hasselbeck's opinions on Rush Limbaugh (which were already known) and an embarrassing nip slip photo taken with her child that she sent around to her family.

Are we seeing the beginning of another Kathie Lee Gifford / Cody thing here, where proud mom talks incessantly about child until everyone is sick of it? It is a bit early to tell, but, still...

Proving why she and Sarah Palin got along so well, Hasselbeck apparently took a photo of herself and baby, somehow forgetting that she was taking a photo with her nipple showing, then sent it to her family members and friends. To clarify: Elisabeth Hasselbeck was nursing her latest son, Isaiah, and pointed her cell phone camera at herself, took a picture, and sent it to her family and friends. And was surprised to see her own nipple in the photo...

In her own words: "I get home and I open up the photo...No wonder why he is smiling, because my nipple is in the photo!

"It's worse than drunk dialing to forward pictures post-partum."

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, it should be noted, stumped with Sarah Palin at a few Republican rallies last fall. Just sayin'...

To make the revelation (because there was absolutely no reason to share this story, even if it all started with Meghan McCain's breasts photo on Twitter) a bit worse, Sherri Shepherd, one of Hasselbeck's co-anchors, said, "It's not sexual when you have a boob in the mouth!"

Someone should tell Sherri Shepherd that that is exactly what it is when phrased like that. Perhaps adding "of a baby" might work a little better.

But if one can forgive Elisabeth Hasselbeck her post-partem nip slip photo, then one can surely forgive her for finding nothing wrong with Rush Limbaugh's racist comments over the years. Having a husband who was an NFL quarterback (Tim Hasselbeck of the... just pick a team) apparently makes the returnee's opinion on Rush Limbaugh's ownership of an NFL team more meaningful. She defended Rush Limbaugh, saying that his comments were divisive like Fergie's (of the Black Eyed Peas) lyric that the CIA was a "terrorist."

Yes. That is correct. Making a political comment about a secretive government organization is exactly like denigrating an entire race (sarcasm intended). With well thought-out comments like that, Elisabeth Hasselbeck might want to get a second opinion on whether or not she is psychologically fit to return to "The View."

But, then, those types of comments and stories are what fans of "The View" have come to expect from Elisabeth Hasselbeck...

Yeah I was disappointed that Elisabeth Hasselbeck came back on The View. She comes across as a spoiled little rich girl, and not a very bright one either.
