Elizabeth Olsen : No Longer the Other Olsen Sister

Previously Known as 'Little Sister Lizzie' She Plans to Make an Acting Career All on Her Own

Beginning with the Full House America got Olsen Twin fever. They starred in a variety of movies as well as the short series The Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley. In a few episodes of their series there was an appearance of little sister Lizzie. She also played a small role in How the West was Fun. She managed to stay under the radar as they gained publicity and eventually demised in the early twenty-first century. Rumors of Mary-Kate in rehab for drug addiction and stories of Ashley pursuing other ambitions kept the two twins in the spotlight a few years after they stopped producing films. Although there is the occasional blip on the radar of either one of this famous pair making a public appearance, it is finally time for Elizabeth Olsen to grow into the family legacy.

The Career of Elizabeth Olsen

She recently filmed the production Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding which is set to release some time in 2011. She plays the part of Zoe in that film. It's not the lead but it's a step towards an acting career based on her merits alone and not the fame associated with her family. She is also set to star in her first film. The film will be an independent drama directed by Sean Durkin. She will play May Marlene in Martha Marcy.

She is only twenty-one-years old and could not have picked a better time to come to the limelight. Surely the reputation of her family will aid in getting her acting roles, but it will ultimately be her talent alone that decides whether she establishes her name in the film industry. As her older twin sister wane out of the tabloids and newspapers this is her perfect time to be independent and not simply be known as little sister Lizzie to the famous Olsen duo.
