Elizabeth Taylor Death Rumors Amid a Hospitalization for Heart Problems

Rumors of Elizabeth Taylor's death flew around water coolers late last week as she lay alive in a local L.A. hospital suffering from congestive heart failure. The 78 year old actress has survived many serious illnesses and is now being treated Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for her continuing heart problems. There is no word on her condition, other than she is continuing to be monitored and is being treated for normal symptoms of the disease.

Ms. Taylor was originally diagnosed with the condition in 2004. Patients with congestive heart failure cannot pump enough blood to their organs. She will remain in the hospital to be treated for the symptoms of congestive heart failure.

Elizabeth Taylor has had many serious medical conditions including other problems with her heart. In 2009 she had surgery to replace a leaky valve. She will stay in the hospital for continual monitoring. Her publicist has not given any indication as to when she is expected to be released to return home.

She has been hositalized for numerous health problems over the years including hip surgery, a benign brain tumor, pneumonia, skin cancer and drug and alcohol addiction. She has managed to recover quickly from all of her afflictions.

Elizabeth Taylor is as famous for her numerous marriages as she is for her many movies. She was married to actor, Richard Burton, twice. They were only divorced for a year and a half before remarrying each other. She has been married at least eight times to Richard Burton, Conrad Hilton, Jr., Michael Wilding, Mike Todd, Eddie Fisher, John Warner, and Larry Fortensky. Although it is unconfirmed, there was a rumor that she had married her current companion. She is the mother for four children she had with Wilding, Todd and Burton and a grandmother of nine. She was born in England to American parents that were living there. Her mother Sara, passed away in 1994 at the age of 99.

Elizabeth's friends and family are close by her side and appreciate all of the love and support from the public and her fans. They are asking everyone to respect her privacy at this time. She is famous for her roles in "Jane Eyre", "National Velvet" and as Cleopatra. Her career has spanned more than sixty years.

Elizabeth Taylor remains in an L.A. hospital Monday. It is unclear when she will be released, but all of her scheduled events for the week of February 14 have been canceled.
