Ellen to Marry Jodie Foster to Split

According to Jodie Foster has reportedly split from her girlfriend, Jodie Foster's 14 year relationship with film producer Cydney Bernard has ended. Jodie Foster and Cydney Bernard have two sons "together". Unfortunately, just like divorces, the separation will be devastating to these two children, living with one parent and visiting the other. Homosexual relationships are hard enough for the two people involved let alone to have a "family". I can't imagine what those children have been through and now to endure a broken home as well.

1993 Jodie Foster met Cydney Bernard on the set of "Sommersby". The two didn't go public until last December. I guess like all marriages the honeymoon is over once you hang the marriage certificate on the wall. (I've kept ours hidden in a filing cabinet just for that reason. LOL)

When Jodie Foster was in labor with the boys, Cydney was her birthing partner both times. They have even worn matching Tiffany eternity rings on their wedding fingers. They were supposed to be life long partners like a married couple. Speaking of married couples Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi are excitedly awaiting their wedding bliss.

According to Ellen, Portia: Here Come the Brides! by Josh Grossberg Ellen DeGeneres, 50 and Portia De Rossi, 35 will be tying the knot after a 4 year relationship. The host of Ellen DeGeneres show told viewers Friday that she and Portia De Rossi former star of Ally McBeal were going to be married. Since California is lifting the ban on gay marriages they are extremely happy and ready to "swap vows".

Ellen DeGeneres received a standing ovation after telling her audience. Portia De Rossi stood on the sidelines watching. Boy, will those etiquette books have to be rewritten!

Does one still wear a tux, or do both wear bridal dresses? Which family pays for what? At this point in DeGeneres life, I am sure she can foot the whole bill without a problem. Then are there bridesmaids and groomsmen, and do the groomsmen still ask if you sit on the groom's or bride's side and which one is which? I think Ellen needs to devote a show to these issues since I am sure they aren't the only gay couple that will want to get married and some of the couples might want big weddings.

This is all too confusing for me when I am one of those people that will try to go by etiquette just so I don't have people following me around waiting for an opportune time to at least punch me. Believe me, when I say I fail miserably, but I do try to use etiquette and be politically correct. I have a tendency to do what is not always politically correct and insult someone just by saying what I think and doing things as I want them done.
