Though published by Yahoo!, it's an arcade action game provided by Armorgames and can be found at Yahoo Games Home and at its original website developed by jmtb02 Studios.
This fast-action game requires skill, dexterity and super quick reflexes. "Think fast" are the first words that will pop into any person's mind attempting to score as many points and 'wave levels' as possible.
The object of the game is to explode oncoming attackers before they start diminishing your health by positioning a mouse cursor over the fast-emerging squares and then clicking the mouse button to obliterate them. Simple as that. Or is it?
Though Ellipsis can turn out to be somewhat addictive, there are benefits to this game beyond the sheer enjoyment of it. As with any fast-reflex online game, it can also prove to help people with disability problems such as the aftermath of a stroke, to help patients improve on focus and co-ordination.
Since the year 2001, the brainchild behind Ellipsis is digital-design artist John Cooney (aka "jmtb02" ), developer of Flash games and animations. In John Cooney's own words:
"Ellipsis has definitely been the centerpiece of my particle addiction. The game has a lot of them, and the particles definitely fly! Utilizing a brand new engine, I managed to make an interesting defender game. This is also the fist never-ending title I have ever made, and you can play this game for hours if you are god enough!"
The background music to Ellipsis is provided by: *Demon* by ZeRo-BaSs.
More comments from the Ellipsis creator can be found at: Newgrounds.
While internet online gaming can be fun, one must remember to get some sleep. Enjoy!
