Elvira became famous on KHJ, a Los Angeles television station, wearing a goth gown showing cleavage as a hostess of Movie Macabre. The witty vamp attracted plenty of attention during the weekly horror movie presentation and is now making a comeback.

What About Elvira and Candidate Christine O'Donnell?

Recently CBS News reported Elvira created her own video version of Christine O'Donnell's campaign ad. The famous ad features the candidate discussing how she is "not a witch." In the spoof, Elvira assures voters she really doesn't practice witchcraft. The Mistress of the Dark claims to be like everyone else. Her one exception is bigger assets, clearly shown off in a low-cut goth gown.

Elvira's Movie Macabre

According to Third Age, Elvira will return to television for a 26-episode season of Elvira's Movie Macabre. The horror spoof show originally aired from 1981 to 1990. Elvira will continue her look from the original show complete with long black tresses, bold makeup and a sexy dress. Peterson indicated she had "decided to come back to TV 20 years ago, but nobody wanted to do the show."

With Halloween around the corner, many party-goers still dress up like Elvira Mistress of the Dark. Whether or not Elvira returned to television, her signature look is sure to remain popular for years to come.
