The four music halls of fame that he has been inducted to are The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame(1986), Country Music Hall Of Fame(1998), Gospel Music Hall of Fame(2001), and Rockabilly Hall Of Fame(Year unknown).

He was drafted in 1957 and soon was sent to Fort Hood, Texas for his training, which he completed. Son after he was sent to active duty in Friedberg Germany with the 3rd Armored Division. It was here that he learned karate mentioned above. While he was touring, his mother become an alcoholic, and was diagnosed with Hepatitis, so in August 1958 he was sent home on emergency leave. Then later in 1960 Elvis came back to the States once again, and on March 5, 1960, was honorably discharged. Elvis was a Sergeant.
