The first night we arrived in Napa, we were tired. We had been up for almost 20 hours. We were hungry, and didn't want to have to find a restaurant and wait to be served. There was an Albertson's that was a block away from the Embassy Suites, so we went there and bought several groceries. The suites at Embassy Suites all have a kitchen area. While they do not have an oven, there is a microwave and a refrigerator. We bought salads, fruits and vegetables, cheese and several items for lunches and snacks. Everyday that we were in Napa, we ate our groceries for lunch.
In the morning, the Embassy Suites has a "made to order" breakfast, available for all visitors staying at the hotel. The chefs made omlets with whichever ingredients were chosen (onion, pepper, tomato, spinach, cheese, bacon, sausage, ham, etc). They also offered omlets that were made with eggbeaters egg substitute for those that are health conscious. To accompany the eggs, they offered potatoes (cubed, and cooked on a grill like hashbrowns). Other food that was available included cereal, milk, fruit, yogart, pancakes, french toast, bagels, danishes, muffins, and an assortment of juices, coffee, and tea. All of the food was excellent and it was very fresh.
In the evenings, the Embassy Suites hosts a manager's reception with wine and snacks (veggies, cheese, chips and dips, etc). The manager's reception includes wine, beer and several mixed drinks. The reception is nightly, and is held in the beautiful atrium.
The rooms at the Embassy Suites are first-class. Each room has a living/sitting room with a dining area (table and chairs) and a kitchen area as well. In the kitchen, you will find a refrigerator, a sink, a microwave, cups and wine glasses along with a wine corkscrew. The bedrooms are very spacious, with a vanity sink in the room. There are 2 televisions in each suite - 1 in the living area and the other in the bedroom. The bathrooms were luxurious and include a hairdryer. Although we spent more time exploring the area, we were more than satisfied with our accomodations.
The scenery at the Embassy Suites is very relaxing. In the middle of the hotel is a pond with ducks, and a waterwheel. Guests can sit around the pond area and enjoy peace and quiet while reading a book, or having a nice conversation. At the back of the property is the atrium, which is magnificent. Breakfast and the Manager's reception are both served in the atrium. In that same build in a large indoor pool with a hot tub. There is also a sauna near the pool.
The staff at the Embassy Suties is very accomodating as well. They were always friendly and able to answer our questions about the area. There is a computer and printer in the lobby, which was very nice as we would get a suggestion for dinner and then print out a map.
After staying for several nights myself at the Embassy Suites in Napa, I would highly recommend it to others. Check out their Web site at http://embassysuites1.hilton.com/en_US/es/hotel/NAPVLES/index.do to see some pictures and read additional information on their services.
