Embassy Suites & Spa, Hot Springs, AR

A friend of mine had a birthday coming up and we decided to get away for the weekend and do something relaxing. Pamper ourselves. A girls only weekend. We tried to figure out where we wanted to go that was within a decent driving distance from our home. We finally settled on Hot Springs, AR. With the wonderful world of the internet, we were able to browse multiple hotels. The pictures were very disappointing. At least until I clicked on Embassy Suites. The rooms looked beautiful and they had a spa on location. The price was a little more, but we decided to go ahead and book it.

From the time we arrived and entered the elegantly decorated lobby, we were struck with the beauty of our surroundings. After the bellboy delivered the bags to our room, we dined in the on site restaurant. We enjoyed a delicious but healthy spa meal and then returned to our suite where we enjoyed relaxing on the sofa, watching tv, and utilizing the high speed internet. We ended our night by a visit to the hotels hot tub and exercise room which was equipped with modern, state of the art exercise equipment. On returning to our room, we were amazed at the comfort of our beds. From the silk duvet covered down comforters to the fine bed linens, we enjoyed a restful nights sleep.

On arising in the morning, we headed downstairs to enjoy the complimentary breakfast buffet complete with omelet bar made to order. Also available were pancakes made to order and a bar with a selection of meats, breads, fruits, cereals, and pastries. After breakfast, we headed downtown to tour the quaint shops and to tour the historical Hot Springs Bath Houses. In the afternoon, we headed back to the hotel where we had made reservations at the spa. What words can describe that experience other than total relaxation. While I enjoyed a body scrub and massage, my friend was enjoying the Soothing Waters package which included a hot mineral bath followed by an ex-foliating body scrub and massage. To top it off, she was lucky enough to get the young, good looking guy! But, after all, it was her birthday.....

We left after enjoying two wonderful nights and on the drive home, were contemplating when we could enjoy this experience again.......5 stars and more! Every woman should treat themselves to a weekend at this facility.
