Though comparable to the sounds of Jimmy Eat World and Valencia, Atlanta, Georgia-based Alternative band Cincus demonstrate a unique contrast to other bands with their infectious sounds and perfection within their lyrics. Since forming in 2008, musicians Jonathan Meade (Vocals, Guitar), Gregg McCurry (Bass), and Erik Morton (Drums) have been working hard to differentiate from other current Alternative musical acts through their musical style. Combining elements of Jazz and 90's Punk Rock, Cincus are captivating listeners and fans around the area with their unique sounds, strong musicianship, and extreme dedication to their music.

Since forming in 2008, the members of Cincus have been busy performing at several major musical functions throughout Atlanta and surrounding locations. The band have captivated audiences with their energetic live performances and tight instrumentals throughout major musical events including The Burning Halos Festival, The Masquerade, and Swayze's located in Marietta. The members of Cincus have witnessed a steady increase in their listener and fan database, as many people have drawn attention to each musician's individual musical styles and contributions to the band. Many are drawn to the infectious lyrics written by lead Vocalist and Guitarist Jonathan Meade, the passionate Bass grooves by young heartthrob Gregg McCurry, and Erik Morton's Jazz-influenced Drumming style. Whether singing of troubled relationships or other personal events, the members of Cincus involve the audience with emotional stories played out with each song. Listeners attending Cincus' live concerts become involved and attached to the band's individual talents and personable approach to the music.

In 2010, the members of Cincus witnessed a positive change in their music and live performances. After performing in front of approximately 350 people in support of a 2010 fundraiser for Dalton High School's Arts Department, Cincus began to be recognized as a talented and emerging Alternative band in the Atlanta area. No longer were they just a High School act performing for their classmates, instead the members of Cincus were becoming a statewide success with an even larger listener and fan database. During the Summer of 2010, the members of Cincus performed for various audiences at festivals around the Atlanta area, allowing for several unique opportunities to develop. Opening and performing alongside several Regional and National acts including Kinkadore and The Bigger Lights, the members of Cincus were beginning to draw massive appeal from audiences around Georgia. In Summer 2010, the members of Cincus were given major exposure when they performed for a large audience during the "Myspace sponsored by Toyota" concert series. Originally booked through local venue Swayze's, Cincus performed ahead of popular National act Me Verse You. With major exposure developing for the band, Lead Vocalist/Guitar Jonathan Meade felt the recent changes were a positive attribute into the band's success as he quoted, "That made us feel like something was actually happening in our favor."

With a debut album set for release in early February of 2011, the members of Cincus are busy promoting their new music through several gigs lined up including a January 28 gig at Swayze's in Marietta, Georgia. Since the formation of the band, Cincus have remained dedicated to expanding their musical creations to a larger and more receptive audience.
