Consumer Product Review

While grocery shopping a week ago, I was reaching for a bottle of mustard, when I happened to notice a sale display of Emeril's Dijon Mustard. Prior to then, I didn't know that such a mustard existed. Being a big fan of mustard and chef Emeril Lagasse, I purchased a bottle of this mustard.

Presented here, in an effort to assist the consumer, is an article which reviews and examines Emeril's Dijon Mustard.

Size
The net weight of the container of Emeril's Dijon Mustard being reviewed here is 12 fluid ounces. The container holds 68 five gram servings of mustard.

Price
The regular retail price charged for one 12 fluid ounce container of Emeril's Dijon Mustard at Hartford, Connecticut area supermarkets is approximately $2.29. This price seems reasonable to me even though it is higher than some other brands', because the product is very tasty and of high quality and also because it is an 'Emeril' product.

Consistency / Texture
This delightful Dijon mustard is not too thick and not too thin. Its consistency seems to be pretty much the same as most other, higher priced brands of Dijon mustard. This mustard clings well to any food it is applied to and it offers an overall pleasing mouth feel.

Nutritional Facts
Emeril's Dijon Mustard contains 0 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams total fat, 0 mg of cholesterol, 120 mg of sodium, 1 gram total carbohydrates, 0 grams of dietary fiber, 0 grams of sugars and 0 grams of protein, per 5 gram serving.

Taste / Flavor
The flavor offered by Emeril's Dijom Mustard is comparable to that of other dijon mustards, but it seems to me that it offers just a little extra zip or zestiness than other Dijon mustards.

So far, I have utilized this mustard on hot dogs, hamburgers and salami sandwiches and have added it to tuna fish salad and baked beans. Its flavor has worked well with every item I have eaten it with. Next, I want to coat prices of chicken for baking with this mustard.

On a flavor scale of one through ten, I would assign this product a rating of 9.5.

Packaging
Emeril's Dijon Mustard is packaged in a clear plastic bottle that features a largely blue front label that shows a signed photo of Chef Emeril Lagasse and the rear label lists all relevant ingredient and nutritional information. The bottle opens easily and it also re - closes effectively.

Manufacturer

Some of the other B & G Foods, Inc brands include B & M, Underwood, Brer Rabbit, Cream of Wheat, Grandma's Molasses, Polaner and Vermont Maid.

Overall Rating
All things considered, Emeril's Dijon Mustard is a very flavorful product that to this reviewer, tastes better than most other brands of Dijon mustard. The little bit of zip in this variety of Dijon mustard sets it apart from other Dijon mustards I have eaten.

I admit it, one of the reasons I really like this mustard is because it is an Emeril's food product. As a chef, I really admire Emeril and like using all of the Emeril's products. Through the years, I have utilized several different Emeril's food products and have found each one to be very tasty, useful and of high quality.

This delicious mustard is stocked and sold at supermarkets across America and is highly recommended by this food writer.
