Norovirus, or the stomach flu, is most often seen in fall and winter, and this year, even closed own Hope College in Michigan! When a parent of emetophobia has a child with the stomach flu, there are two things they need to pay particular attention to, quarantining and cleanliness.
First, if there's an outbreak of norovirus at your child's school, consider keeping them home. If they get sick they're going to miss a few days anyway, so it may be better to keep them away from the germs for a bit and lessen the risk of them infecting the entire family.
Second, clean your and your child's hands obsessively. I know that over washing is often a symptom of emetophobia, and I don't mean to reinforce a bad habit born of anxiety, but when there's a real reason to be concerned, I think it's warranted.
Lastly, break out the Lysol. Disinfect surfaces that commonly get touched like kitchen counters, bathrooms, doorknobs, etc.
If you do contract the stomach flu, the first thing is to relax. You'll be fine, and although it may be unpleasant, you'll be feeling better in a couple days. Consider it a good time to practice your anxiety and emetophobia management skills you should be learning. There's some wonderful tips available for free at sites that specialize in treating emetophobia such as http://www.emetophobiaeraser.com. With proper precautions you and your family can likely avoid the norovirus, but the stomach flu is the arch nemesis of emetophobia!
