Emily Erin Deschanel was born October 11, 1976 in Los Angeles to famed cinematographer Caleb Deschanel ("The Passion of the Christ", "Titanic") and his wife, Mary Jo. She attended Boston University's Professional Actor's Training Program and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater. She was a member of the InterAct Theatre Company and is trained for both stage and screen.
Emily made her motion picture debut in 1994's "It Could Happen to You". She has appeared in other feature films such as "Cold Mountain", "The Alamo", "Spiderman 2", and "Boogeyman". Most recently she appeared in 2006's "Glory Road" as Mary Hasskins.
Deschanel has also appeared in television episodes of "Providence", "Law and Order: SVU", "Crossing Jordan", and in the Stephen King mini-series "Rose Red" as Pam Asbury.
The 5'9", blue-eyed star has been a devout vegetarian for over twelve years. Her sister is actress Zooey Deschanel. ("Failure to Launch", "Bridge to Terabithia") Emily loves to visit her grandparents in Portland, OR and splits her time living in both Los Angeles and New York City.
David Paul Boreanaz was born May 16, 1969 in Buffalo, NY and grew up in Philadelphia. He decided at age 7 that he wanted to be an actor. He studied acting at Ithaca College in NY. After graduating he moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.
David ended up working as a house painter and parking cars. He had some uncredited roles in movies before appearing as Kelly's boyfriend on "Married With Children". His big break came when he won the role of "Angel" on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". He played "Angel" in 57 episodes of "Buffy" from 1997-2003. He received his own spin-off show of "Buffy", titled "Angel" and appeared in 111 episodes from 1999-2004.
He has won three Saturn Awards as "Best Actor in a Television Series" for "Angel"- one in 2000, 2003, and 2004. He has been nominated for a TV Guide Award, Kid's Choice Award, and two Teen Choice Awards. He was also on "People" magazine's list of the "50 Most Beautiful People" in 1999.
He married Ingrid Quinn in 1997. They divorced in 1999. He married Jaime Bergman in 2001 and they have one son, Jaden.

I absolutely love the books by Kathy Reichs. I have never watched the TV show. I'll give it a look.

Good article. I have been a fan of David Boreanaz ever since I first watched BTVS, and I enjoy him on "Bones". He and Emily have great chemistry on "Bones".
I've never watched this. But, now I just might. :)
