Eminem's Recovery album is on the Billboard Top 200 in the first place position for the fourth consecutive week. This is the first time that an album has been able to stay afloat for so long since Susan Boyle's "I Dreamed a Dream." Eminem's lyrical genius has not only positively impacted his own career, but also that of Rihanna.

Rihanna had her first headliner at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The singer's smooth and soulful voice rang out with her portion of the duo's #1 hit, "Love the Way you Lie" and out of no where, the rapper from 8 Mile came out with his trademark voice, emotionally singing his hit.

I will admit, though that it is Rihanna's hook that sticks in your mind and finds its way into your head. However, it's Eminem's lyrics that speak the message and make it stronger than just another sad love song.

The song "Love the way you Lie" did an amazing thing when it de-throned Katy Perry's "California Girls" at the top of the Billboard charts. The tongue-in-cheek pop song that is more of a feel-good going-to-the-beach or clubbing song has a totally different feel than the single it was replaced by.

Eminem's hit has a strong message, and one that many couples can relate to. The song is likely inspired by the tumultuous relationships that he has experienced throughout his existence, mainly the one between him and Kim, the mother of his daughter.

The single remains at the top of the digital downloads, with 352,000 reported downloads during a week. This is up 12%. Many people are excited about this song, and it gets people who are not only avid Rihanna fans, but Eminem fans as well.

The rapper has been very successful throughout his career. What makes him that way? He has unique lyrics that no one else in the world would or could ever come up with. He's controversial, sometimes violent, and very much the epitome of what a rapper should be.

Will Eminem's hit album Relapse remain at the #1 slot for very much longer? Many say that there's no indication that it will get shot down. However, Rapper Rick Ross is set to release his album, Teflon Don, and it is poised to knock him off. Who knows what will happen, as so much depends on the fan's perceptions.
