Two albums in 2009 for Eminem, what more could an Eminem ask for? On the Steve Berman skit Eminem declares that there are two albums. From killing Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears to graphic stories about his drug use, it is all here. Everything Encore was missing Relapse has. My favorite song on this album is "Must be The Ganja". With "Deja Vu" a close second followed by "My Mom". "Must be the Ganja" is classic Eminem with a great flow "You do not wanna try this at home my little vato!". "My Mom" a great song about his mother putting drugs in his food, may have Relapses best beat on it. Dr Dre really laid down a great track for Eminem on that song. "Deja Vu" is about his drug use and that he really overdosed last year and they found him on the bathroom floor. This song definitely rivals "Drug Ballad" from the Marshall Mathers LP.
Eminem has been shocking listeners since 1999 with the Slim Shady LP, but took off almost five years before coming out with Relapse. Relapse comes at a time when the rapper is aging, he's 36 years old, going to be 37 by the time Relapse two comes out in late 2009. Eminem said he wanted us to hear Relapse before hearing Relapse two. I can't help but wonder if Relapse two is really going to be the title of that album or if he's going to call it something else.
Every song on Relapse is good, and I can't wait for Relapse two to come out later in 2009. He definitely put out another classic! I'm so excited for him, I thought he would never come back. I thought his career was over, and rap was really getting bad. But the greatest has returned with Relapse and Relapse two in 2009. A classic album and a sequel to drop later in the year. What more could fans ask for from Eminem?
