Eminem to Release New Album in 2010

Eminem has delayed releasing a full album in 2009 and instead released Relapse The Refill a seven track album on December 21st. Eminem said the full length album will probably be released in early 2010. Apparently Eminem was not happy with the material for Relapse 2 and decided to scrap the project. He apparently has new material recorded with Dr.Dre and others while they were vacationing in Hawaii. It is unknown whether the new album will be entitled Relapse 2 or not. It also unknown what month in early 2010 the album will be released.

Eminem did release Relapse The Refill a nice seven track album with five previously unheard tracks. So he did not totally go back on his promise of two albums in 2009. On Relapse Eminem can be heard having a conversation with Steve Berman throwing two CDs on Steve's desk and promising two albums. However it is more like one and a half albums in 2009. In 2010 though, Eminem is sure to release another new album. It has been a busy year for Eminem he has been releasing a lot of material and even just did a new song with Lil Wayne entitled "Drop The World". Eminem has also done several other collaborations as well as dropped a whole bunch of new freestyle material. He has definitely come back hard after a four year absence.

Relapse The Refill had a very different sound then Relapse. Eminem sounded sharper and one can only hope that this new album in 2010 will sound like The Refill. His lyrics have definitely improved the more time he spends off drugs. We can only hope that he stays off drugs and continues producing great music for a long time. Hopefully in 2010 we get the new album and many more freestyles and collaborations. If you count all Eminems freestyles and collaborations in 2009 together, its almost like he did put out another new album. My bet is that he will change the title from Relapse 2 to something else but that is just me. Relapse 2 seems more like a title that he may be wanting to get away from at this point especially since he scrapped the album and released The Refill.

In conclusion, Eminem has pushed back his new album and it will be released sometime in 2010. We can only hope it will be sooner then later and that he is going to be as sharp on this album as he was on The Refill.
