If I fall,
could you brush away the leaves,
that blind me in sadness?
If my heart grows cold in winter,
could you warm me, in your blanket of summer,
and then,
if I become overheated in angry frustration,
in the midst of that summer,
could you subdue in comfort,
with your softer rains,
in a more gentle, balanced, spring,
to help me find reason,
in any season?
could you brush away the leaves,
that blind me in sadness?
If my heart grows cold in winter,
could you warm me, in your blanket of summer,
and then,
if I become overheated in angry frustration,
in the midst of that summer,
could you subdue in comfort,
with your softer rains,
in a more gentle, balanced, spring,
to help me find reason,
in any season?
