Emotions Run High on Week 3 of 'DWTS' Season 12 - Wendy Williams, Petra Nemcova, Karina Smirnoff and Kirstie Alley

Ladies and gentlemen graced the famous dance floor on Monday night as ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" ushered in Week 3 of the 12th Season and the night proved to be quite eventful. Kirstie Alley and Maks hit the floor -- literally -- but they got back on their feet, so to speak, and Maks encouraged Kirstie to weather the embarrassing moment.

Kirstie Alley has been doing that for years, though, so we applaud her staying power and her will to survive in spite of a fall now and then.

The judges were just as supportive, with Carrie Ann even pointing out how "Sometimes tragedy leads to amazingly beautiful moments" and Tom's comment says it all: "It's not about how you fall, it's about how you get up."

Alley should choose "I will survive" for her next dance song, because she is definitely going to do so in life. And she needs some MsBellezza jewelry to show it, as she tends to downplay the glitter.

"Dancing With the Stars" contestant Wendy Williams battled blisters, buns and corns to perform on Monday night and any woman who can do that -- and still look as good as she did (loved the hair ornaments, by the way) -- deserves a higher score than 15.

I'd like to see the male judges attempt to dance those moves in heels while hurting and make it look any better than she did. I'd also like to see Wendy get more comfortable in her own skin around all the skinny white dancers on the show, but I realize that's got to be hard for her.

Williams brings a Queen Latifah quality to "DWTS" with her bigger than life personality just itching to come out. If she donned that "Shazzam" outfit Latifah wore in "Bringing Down the House" with Steve Martin -- or the number Latifah had on when she danced with Martin in that flick on the dance floor -- Williams would steal the show. Petra Nemcova, Kym Johnson, Kendra Wilkinson and Chelsea Kane may look great on the dance floor -- and have scores to prove it -- but they still need the jewels to make them really sparkle.
