Enchanting Engagement Ring Designers and Their Marvelous Masterpieces

Ruth Carter
When you meet that special someone with whom you want to spend the rest of your life, one of the ways in which you make your wish known is through the giving of the engagement ring. This type of ring tells your loved one and the whole world that she is the woman whom you have chosen above all others to be your wife.

In the jewelry market today, several wonderful designers who create a variety of marvelous engagement ring collections exist. For the purpose of this article, six of those artists and their collections will be identified and reviewed.

Ritani

Ritani is one of America's premier bridal designers who offers three different categories of engagement rings: the royal crown design, the modern design, and the classic design. The royal crown design has a princess cut center stone with a royal crown undergallery and princess cut diamonds that are in a channel set along the shank of the ring. The main modern designs are the "Endless Love" setting in which a round or emerald cut center stone is surrounded by a pave diamond setting and has the same diamond design along the band and the diamond V pattern undergallery with a graduated diamond shank. The classic design is more of the diamond solitaire style with the less ornate band.

All three groups of the Ritani designs are quite elegant and range in price from $1,785 to $17,500 (most of these prices do not include the center stone). Most of the settings do not include the center stone, so you are able to choose your own diamond to take its place in the middle of the ring. All of the settings can be found in platinum or 18 kt. white or yellow gold, and a few pieces are even available in palladium.

Tacori

Tacori's designs are described as being some of the "most sought after styles in the world" by the Michael C. Fina website and are well known for their signature crescent silhouette design. Tacori combines the classic and traditional with the modern and unconventional. A lot of the designs have pave diamonds decorating the crescent silhouette and elaborate details on the band. In several of the settings, the center stone is framed with either a sapphire and diamond or all diamond halo or flanked by diamonds on both sides, and channel-set diamonds adorn the band.

Tacori's pieces are quite elaborate and fancy and are priced from $2,840 to $10,740 (these prices do not include the center stone). The majority of the settings allow you to choose the center stone of your choice, and the platinum diamond semi-mount designs are available in petite proportions. All of the settings are available in platinum or 18 kt. white or yellow gold.

Danhov

Danhov has many different collections to appeal to a variety of tastes from modern to baroque romantic. Two of their most notable collections are the Meno and the Tubetto. The Meno collection offers pave diamond accents, various center stone cuts, a split shank design, and a combination of three bands melded together. The Tubetto collection includes brilliant diamonds that are encased in platinum symmetrical tubes and center diamonds flanked by colorful side stones.

Danhov's designs are gorgeous and range in cost from $2,700 to $8,400 for the Meno collection and from $3,200 to $8,400 for the Tubetto collection (these prices do not include the center stone). The majority of the settings do not include the center stone, so you can choose that perfect diamond to fit with your desired setting. For the Tubetto designs, you can also choose the side stones that will flank the center diamond. All of the Tubetto rings can be customized to fit most sizes and shapes. The Meno collection is available in platinum or 18 kt. white gold while the Tubetto one is offered in 22 kt. gold and platinum.

M. Geller

M. Geller's designs range from petite, thin bands decorated with small diamonds and small dots and squares to chunky, bold bands that contain round and princess cut diamonds to accent the center diamond. Geller's collection could be described as simple and modern and offers stackable settings.

These ring settings are available from $395 to $1,850 and do not include the center diamond. You can customize the ring of your choice by choosing the just the right diamond.

Geller's pieces are available in 14 kt. white or yellow gold or platinum.

Erica Courtney

Erica Courtney offers one of a kind jewelry that is sure to please. Her designs offer diamond halos around the center stone as well as diamonds along the band. One of her most notable pieces is the Fleur de Lis design which has flower-like shaped prongs encasing the center diamond paired with diamonds featured all around the band.

Her designs are simply beautiful and range in price from $6,800 to $8,800 (these prices do include the center stone). Unlike the other designers mentioned, she offers personalized initials on the sides of two of her rings (the Ellen and Jesse designs). Her pieces are available in platinum or 18 kt. yellow gold.

Memoire

The rings contained in the Memoire collection are described as appearing to be a ring of fire around the finger. These are hardy rings that hold up well, and they offer full cut round diamonds on the band as well as four side diamonds that frame the center stone.

These designs are captivating and will definitely catch your eye. They range in cost from $2,600 to $13,650 (these prices do not include the center stone) and enable you to select the diamond that you wish to be your center stone. These works of art are available in platinum or 18 kt. gold.

When choosing that perfect ring to ask "Will you marry me?" consider these designers and their masterful works of art. Your fiancé will thank you.
