Encino Grande RV Park is close enough to Goliad to serve as a home base while visiting the many activities offered by Goliad, Texas. There is something to do each month. The second Saturday of each month is Goliad Market Days where visitors will have a chance to shop at 170 plus booths all located on the Courthouse Square area. In March there is the Goliad Fair and Rodeo along with the Fair Parade and the weekend that falls closest to March 27 is when the "Goliad Living History Reenactment at Presidio La Bahia" occurs. In April, there is the Relay for Life and Miss Zaragoza Queen Coronation. Cinco de Mayo celebration occurs the weekend closest to May 5 each year and the Summer Flotilla is the first Saturday each June. Then there is a break in the activities, probably due to the heat of a south Texas summer. But even then, Encino Grande RV Park is only about an hour and a half from the Texas Gulf Coast where Rvers can enjoy the many beach activities in Corpus Christi and the surrounding areas.
After the summer break, the activities in Goliad resume with Diez y Seis de Septiembre ( September 16) activities sponsored by the General Zaragoza Society. In October there is the Missions Tour de Goliad Bike Ride and the Harvest Moon. November is busy with the Fall Flotilla, the Spanish Tracks and Trails, the "Hunters Ball" and the Community Thanksgiving Service. "Christmas in Goliad" is held the first Friday and Saturday of December and is presented by the Goliad County Historical Commission. Where else can you witness Santa riding into town on a Longhorn?
Encino Grande RV Park is a perfect place to stay when visiting the Goliad County area and all the Texas history that comes with it. But, this RV park is located far enough away from the activities so that it is peaceful and quiet whey you are ready to just sit back and relax. This RV park is located only six miles from Goliad on Highway 59 south. For more information call 361-645-8133.
