Encounters with the Paranormal

Let me first begin with the fact that I was brought up in a Christian home. About 25 years ago, my husband and I rented a house in Cerritos, California where we lived. My kids were in their teens at the time. We were looking to buy, but we needed to find a place first so we rented this house. I contacted the owner of the house and she told me it was unlocked and I could take a look at it on my way to work. So I did. It was weird, because when I entered the house, I had a weird feeling that I was not alone and I hurried through it. I did like the house and called my husband at work and told him to also take a look at it.

He liked it too. The next day we began moving in. I worked 12 - 8 PM at that time. So, I was alone in the mornings as the kids were at school and my husband was at work. When I was unpacking and cleaning and putting things away, I felt like someone was behind me. I caught myself turning around to look many times. I kept it to myself. This went on a lot when I was alone in the house.

One night, I woke up to an evil laughter of a girl. I got up and went in my son's room to see if he had a girl in there. Of course, he was sound asleep. I went in my daughter's room and she was sound asleep. It was a creepy evil laugh and I still remember the sound of it. I told a Christian friend of mine at work about this.

She told me that I don't know who was living in the house before me. She advised me that when I am alone, I should say in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ anything of Satan get out and get out now.

A few days went by, and I was alone and cleaning and I thought I would do what my friend suggested. As soon as I said "in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ anything of Satan get out," every window and door shook hard. I mean hard and loud! I am not kidding or making this up. At first, because I live in California, I thought we were having an earthquake. I called my mother and she said no she didn't feel anything. I then called my husband at work and he said no as well. I turned on the news on the TV and no reports of an earthquake came up. Then it dawned on me. Whatever it was was leaving my house. Some evil spirit was in there and when I said that phrase, that is why all the windows and doors shook.

I was so scared. I jumped in the shower and went to work early. But after that, I never felt like there was someone behind me anymore. So whatever was in there was gone. We probably lived there about a year before we bought our house.
To this day, I know there was something evil in there when we moved in. It was really creepy. I will never forget it!
