The Cincinnati Tri-state area celebrates the end of summer 2007 with concerts, parties, and fall festivals showcasing a variety of music.

Give Back Cincinnati's 3rd Annual Last Blast Party

Diet Audio and The Turnbull AC's celebrate the end of summer and start of football season with a musical performance; a preview of music to come at the Midpoint Music Festival. Papa John's and City BBQ will offer food and the Ben-Gals will add to the tailgating party atmosphere.

Where: Longworth Hall, 700 Pete Rose Way, downtown Cincinnati

When: Friday, September 14, 2007 from 7pm to midnight

Cost: $5 cover charge, Must be 21 or older

End of Summer Blast

Another party welcoming the fall season is the End of Summer Blast at Xavier University's Cintas Center. The bands scheduled are Jon B, 112, Angie Stone, Keith Sweat, and Loose Ends.

Where: Cintas Center at 1624 Herald Street, Cincinnati, Ohio

When: Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 7pm

Cost: $43.50; $52.40 for floor seats

So Long Summer Rib Cook-Off and Blues Bash

Blues performances throughout the weekend add to this end of summer festival which benefits local charities. Enjoy live horse racing, music, contests, and food from National Ribs Teams competing for prizes at Turfway Park in Northern Kentucky.

Where: Turfway Park, 7500 Turfway Road, Florence, Kentucky

When: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, September 14 to 16, 2007; From 11am to 11pm daily

Cost: $4; free for ages 6 and under

Blues bands begin at 1:30pm on Friday, 6:15pm on Saturday, and 6:15pm on Sunday. Twelve local blues artists are scheduled to perform including John Redell and the Company He Keeps on Friday at 9pm, II Juicy on Saturday evening at 6:15, and the Sonny Moorman Band closing down the night at 10:45pm. Sunday's performances will be the Heater at 6:15 followed by Willie Dee at 7:40 and The Medicine Man at 9:05pm.

Cincinnati Celtic Festival

Celtic music will abound on multiple stages at the entertaining festival at Yeatman's Cove on Cincinnati's Ohio riverfront. Along the Serpentine Wall entertainers will grace a Main Stage, Pub Stage, Harp Stage, and Dance / Theater Stage. Performances from international, regional, and local artists begin at 12:30pm on Saturday following the Opening Ceremony. The Cincinnati Celtic Festival website has a complete schedule of the lineup for the weekend of Celtic music, food, and fare.

Where: Bicentennial Commons at Sawyer Point, 801 Pete Rose Way, downtown Cincinnati

When: Saturday, September 15, 2007 from Noon to 11pm and Sunday, September 16, 2007 from Noon to 7pm.

Cost: $8 for adults 13 and older, $5 for seniors and $5 with a student or military ID.

LeAnn Rimes Outdoor Show

Grand Victoria Casino, a Hyatt resort just 45 minutes from downtown Cincinnati, features entertainment, accommodations, and gaming 24 hours a day. The Indiana casino will host country music star LeAnn Rimes performing an outdoor concert on their grounds for a 21 and older audience.

Where: Grand Victoria Casino, 600 Grand Victoria Drive, Rising Sun, Indiana

When: Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 7pm

Cost: $25, $20 for casino club members

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati

The country's largest collection of alpenhorns, along with the popular German heritage Chicken Dance, mark the end of summer at Cincinnati's annual fall festival. Authentic German music, including the alpenhorns and performers in lederhosen, will grace multiple stages and stroll throughout the crowd during Oktoberfest Zinzinnati.

Where: On Fifth Street for 6 blocks between Race and Broadway

When: Saturday, September 22, 2007 from 11am to midnight and Sunday, September 23, 2007 from 11am to 10pm.

Cost: Free!
