Gameplay Overview
When you first begin the game, you are given three choices of game difficulty. You can pick between Easy, Medium and Hard.
Once you have selected the game difficulty that best suits you, you will be presented with campaign choices. There are a total of three campaigns that you can choose from. Your three campaign options are: United States, Germany and the Soviet Union.
Once you have picked a campaign that suits your taste, you will be presented with a map. On this map will be scattered points that you can click on. You must start with the points that are highlighted in blue. Mousing over any point will give you a description of that mission, detailing rewards as well as reinforcement details. Select a mission, click Play, and wait for the mission to load.
When you first play, you may wish to play with the tutorial tips on.
The goal of the game is to defend the bottom of the screen. You can build units or other structures to help defend your base. When you are done building your units and/or structures, simply click on the Ready! button at the top-right hand corner of the screen to begin the wave. Once you have successfully defeated one wave, you will be given the opportunity to set up your defenses again for the next wave. Get through all of the waves to complete the mission. Complete all of the missions to complete the campaign. Complete all three campaigns to finish the game.
There is also a Survival Mode that you can try your hand at. However, it is recommended that you try Survival Mode after completing missions and campaigns so that you will have a better supply of weapons and defenses at your disposal.
Featuring 14 missions and 3 campaigns, Endless War: Defense will have you playing for a good long while. Though the graphics are not amazing, and though it may become repetitive after a while, the emphasis of this game is on the strategy. So, if you enjoy strategy games, then you will enjoy this addition to the Endless War series.
