Endorphins - the Heart and Soul of Our Brains?

How Do Endorphins Affect Us as Human Beings?

Endorphins are a chemical release in the body. We feel them when we fall in love, when we are hurt, we even feel them pulse throughout our body after witnessing something majestic!

What are these chemical compounds? Why in these certain situations do they change our behavior, minds, and emotions? More importantly they change our lives. These microscopic visions of extraordinary things happen inside of our brains. Electrons fire off in several different directions.

How does this connect to us as people? How does it connect to our memories, traumas, loved ones? How in the world are we defined? It seems as a single unit with six billion worldwide copies.

Are we one because of our prior experiences or because of the memories that we can conjure? Do they serve a more normal purpose than we realize? We could simply perceive the world as our own? No more and no less.

These electrons firing to our brain, is it a simple relapse of what could be right? Perhaps we are striving to prove that our ego and/or solution outweigh the needs of more than our obsessively crazed brains?

Competition or not, this erratic behavior of "numbero uno" must fall below our minds. Endorphins can be a beautiful thing, only we are the one's who decide if they control us and not vice versa.

Is it a possible stem of addiction? It most likely could be. Could we addict ourselves to something that wasn't pleasurable? I would love to believe not, but ask your local sado-machinist how that fared out for them. Oh wait! That's endorphins also!
